An easy walk to Grant Park, Harold Washington library, lots of dining venues and train stations/bus stops to see Chicago's fantastic museums. Staff all so friendly & helpful, if directions/suggestions needed and "Sunshine" is as personable & social as other reviews said he is. Hotel rooms very clean, more spacious than expected, with microwave/mini-fridge. Meli's onsite also terrific, particularly breakfast. Complimentary coffee bar in the lobby also a nice touch, if in a hurry. Thankful for a public computer in the lobby too, for those of us who leave our electronics at home.

Hotel was within walking distance of train and bus stop. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions and directions. On-site restaurant was good for breakfast, but was just ok for other meals. We would stay again.

The hotel is clearly old, but it is very well maintained. Staff are all helpful and very friendly. Highly recommend walking the few blocks to either Devil Dogs or Lou Malnati's. Both were recommended by hotel staff and both were homeruns. The location is very close to the train, so all of Chicago is easily accessible.
