Freddy was our tour guide and he was just like a walking encyclopedia! April trained us before the tour and made sure everyone felt safe on the Segway before we went on an amazing 9-mile tour. Riding a Segway around the top of Soldier Field was quite a thrill. It was a great experience and I will definitely do it again when I am back in Chicago. In fact I loved it soooo much my husband surprised me with my own Segway 5 days later! Thanks again Freddy and April! You are the best.

Nikki! We had so much fun with you! Thank you so much for writing such a wonderful review for Freddy and me. I hope to see you back again some other time even though you now own your very own Segway! Thanks again.

We took a group of 15 10-14 year olds and parents to Steve's in April. Steve has a terrible attitude. Although he agreed to take the group, he continually (and loudly) complained that we had not signed up in advance and that it took too long to train all of us. He loudly criticized the woman, Autumn, who works for him. (She had a good attitude and was very pleasant and patient in teaching us.) He talked down his competitor. He complained when he had a hard time understanding a customer's accent over the phone. One of the kids got hurt before we even left the site. Her parents wanted a refund because the two of them had not even stepped onto a Segway and needed to take their daughter to the hospital in a strange city. Steve refused, got really loud about it, then had the nerve to tell the rest of the group that the father was "mean" to HIM! Steve was underwhelming as a tour guide. He didn't seem to know much about the building architecture. He continually took calls on his cell phone during the tour! Another member of the group was injured so badly during the ride that she had to return to her hotel in a cab; although she and her mother paid in full without even requesting a partial refund, he did not even say that he was sorry the injury happened. Instead, he acted annoyed that he had to deal with getting the Segways back to his store.
Summary: Riding a Segway is very fun. If you are willing to risk it, go with another company! Be sure to bring only bare essentials with you, because the store didn't have secure storage for purses or bags. And there is only a small pouch on the Segways.

First time on a segway for all of us and couldn't have had a better guide, Autumn. She made it fun and educational at the same time. About 3 hours long, but went by fast. We had a mixture of adults and kids and she knew exactly how to keep it entertaining for all. Loved route we went on through the park, by museums and Soldier Field. We will be back again in the summer. All you need is a little coordination, a camera and some sunglasses. Went through some crowded areas but also had a lot of wide open areas where you could become one with your machine.

What a fun experience! Our first time in Chicago, my husband, 2 sons (12 &13) and I loved our segway tour! The segways are very easy to learn. Autumn was our tour guide and she was great! We rode though Millennium Park, the museum campus and Soldier Field. We stopped to get some photos and even grabbed a hot dog. It is totally worth the money...especially seeing our adolescent boys having a blast.

Had always wanted to try a Segway, so when in Chicago last fall we used Steve's and had a great experience. Our guide was very patient - ensuring everyone was properly checked out on the Segway prior to departing on the tour. My 14 year old son took to the Segway the fastest, but the rest of us got it pretty quick, as did the other 10 people in our group. One person face planted early on, but that was because she tried to ride the Segway without any instruction. It seems strange to ride at first, but once you get it, its very simple and a lot of fun. Our guide was very energetic and knowledgeable of Chicago. I highly recommend this activity. It's fairly expensive, but considering the price operating such a business, it is understandable. Great way to tour downtown Chicago, as it allows you to cover so much more area. It's about a 3 hour event.
