So great to see the public enjoying themselves around an awesome piece of art. A must see in Millennium Park

Cloud gate (the bean) is pretty cool. We stumbled upon it and I couldn't figure out what the heck it was from a distance. It's packed with tourists during daylight hours but it's just nice, clean, free fun. Don't miss out!

Millenium park is a great place to simply wander around. The Cloud is interesting to view but is also a must see for photographers. The reflections of the city are good from most angles and you can get some very interesting shots from almost any part of the area. Make sure that you go into the inner area also. Try visiting when the sun is at different levels in the sky to get different effects from your pictures.

My wife and kids had been there a few years ago and raved about this "thing", so I stopped by on my visit thinking that it probably wouldn't live up to their hype. It did. From taking self-portraits with the background views, to the fantastic people-watching opportunities, this was a highlight of my time in Chicago. If you don't have a camera of some kind, get one for this particular visit. It feels like the perfect thing to have been placed in this spot. As a bonus, next door the city orchestra was rehearsing for the free concert to come later that night, so this Millenium Park visit was outstanding for us.

My Mother and I made sure we explored this area, w/ the "BEAN" over all the sculpture is very unique. For us what's even better, the court yard around it are great areas for people watching. There are a few vendors, so grab a great Chicago hot dog w/ the works, a cold drink and sit down and enjoy the show. As others have reported it's in the beautiful Millennium Park.
