Our highschool group wanted to see the "bean" but quickly learned from Mr. Terry Sullivan that it was the cloud Gate. He showed them how to actively enter into the sculpture.

Cloud Gate is one of the few art pieces I've seen that people FLOCK to, and stay awhile to see. It's fun to take pictures, and the navel is neat. Before you go, google the background to Cloud Gate. It makes you appreciate what the artist went through to make it. Props to the artist :) Great piece.

Every time I go see Cloud Gate (AKA "the Bean"), I enjoy it even more than the last time. I never thought a large shiny blob would be so thought provoking. On my first visit, it was much larger than pictures portrayed. You can walk up close and see yourself distorted and bent like a massive carnival mirror. By changing your angle slightly, the clouds and buildings appear and then envelope the whole Bean. On a nice summer night it almost appears as a snowglobe, with an entire nights sky contained inside. Its fun, free, and every visitor I have had to Chicago has loved it.

Very unique & one of the best spots for some skyline image photography...had an amazing time clicking different poses with the bean... also, there's a heated bridge which leads to one of the museums in the Millenium Park itself (didn't go inside though) but the bridge itself offers a very picturesque view of the downtown streets & again a good spot for some photography too.
