“It's getting real tired”

Service is great, the location is fantastic, the lounge is beautiful but WOW, this hotel is getting real tired. I love this place but the rooms need to be updated and the restaurant should also be updated. Need something special in that space but it's just ordinary.

Splurged and 7tTook the family for a couple of days to the big city. Visited museums, Blackhawks and a Bulls game.
The staff at the hotel was absolutely amazing with the kids - from a toy wagon at check in to amenities for the kids in the room to ... a Candy man showing up at our door with a cart full of candies for the kids - what a wonderful treat. One afternoon the kids did the cookie cooking class with a chef in the kitchen which was also a wonderful experience.
Needless to say - the whole family loved it

What a great stay in this beautiful hotel, great views of the lake and the city from our room, spend all day shopping and Spa on Saturday and finished with a fantastic brunch at deca on Sunday - can't beat that for a weekend

Room Tip: building includes a 8 story mall with direct access from the hotel

Incredibly wonderful hotel and staff. Most accomdating! They are so kind and gracious and genuinely welcoming to children, even my wild 4 yr old boy. Ideal location, fabulous pool, relaxing spa, best food. We cannkt wait to return! Thank you!

I have stayed at the Ritz-Carlton a few times now, and while I don't usually write reviews I want to make sure that this property gets the recognition that it deserves. Aside from the the obvious convenience of its location in Water Tower Place on the Magnificent Mile, this property is astounding on the inside. On the first floor, one encounters friendly and helpful Bell attendants and a Greeter showing the way to the elevator to lobby-level. Once upstairs, the open lobby matches a beautiful classical fountain with the very contemporary feel of their hotel restaurant - a really great effect underscoring the beauty of the property. The Front Desk and Concierge are very friendly and helpful here, and while I admittedly tend to watch with a critical eye as a former restaurant manager, I have yet to see anything to complain about! Room Service has been great, in the quality and in their honoring my wishes to take the cart from them at the door. Similarly, their Housekeepers honor the Do Not Disturb sign when it's up, but do a great job when it isn't. Again, I can be critical... and here there is nothing to complain about!

Room Tip: Consider asking for alternative blankets and pillows. Since this property is managed by Four Seasons...

I had the opportunity to stay at the Ritz Carlton in Chicago- 5 nights for business. I had also stayed there last year at the same time of year - in town for a trade show and was very excited to return. Felt like i was coming home each night.
The Ritz Carlton is a jewel! Comfortable luxury- impeccable surroundings - staff is wonderfully polite, attentive and helpful. They make you feel like a very valued guest. The hotel is situated close to shopping and restaurants - 10 minute walk to Eataly ( well worth the visit if you're looking for an amazing food experience) My room was very well appointed - bed extremely comfortable and all of the little 'extras' were welcome after a busy day. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.... and hope to do so next year.

On my recent stay with my wife celebrating our wedding anniversary concierge John Dillon graciously and enthusiastically helped me plan a romantic display in our room of rose petals, sparkling wine and chocolate covered strawberries, the latter two being an anniversary gift from the hotel. The challah french toast served by the in-room dining staff the next morning was the best I have had in Chicago. When the planned surprise could not be accomplished because we did not leave the room, John offered to package up all of the items so they could be enjoyed in our own home. This was above and beyond our expectations and has made us a repeat patron of the hotel.

Room Tip: South side of building is nice and sunny and has a good view of Navy Pier and Ferris Wheel.
