I stayed at the Palmer House for 2 nights, and overall my experience was phenomenal. The room my friend and I checked into was huge! Maybe that's all that was available, and it probably why it was so expensive, but we had a big room with 2 double beds and a lounge area in the room.
There wasn't much a view, but who needed one when the interior was so exceptional?
The highlight of my trip was one of the evening guard staff noticed me taking pictures of the old photos they had of performers who had played in the historic empire room. He must have been performing his due diligence, but when I explained I was a guest, and I was interested in the history of the hotel, I got a private tour of the ballrooms.
Be sure to check out their deluxe Starbucks, and their fantastic staff.More
