They did not jack their rates for Lollapolooza weekend like Best Western and I,m glad they didn,t because Omni is much better. Join the loyalty program for free as it gives you free Internet and fresh orange juice to your room in the morning. Rooms are clean, modern. Staff was great.

We (2 teens and 2 adults) had a great experience, we booked a room with 2 doubles and a separate room with a pull out that they made up each night...from the cookies/milk delivered our first night, to the beverages delivered in the morning (kids had hot chocolate, tea, juice etc) it was great. Breakfast was excellent. We used the driver service (Kate I think? she was so nice and knowledgeable each morning that she dropped us off at our destination to explore) We appreciated the staff on the main floor who offered bottled water and umbrella's -one rainy day :( and the staff who welcomed us back "home" every night....we stayed 5 nights and I can't complain about anything...well one tiny thing and .99 cents will fix it :) there wasn't any recycling in the rooms or around the hotel...this is important to us and it is an inexpensive addition...but I am sure they will have that in place for next time. Book here you won't be disappointed! The location was perfect! Have fun!

Room Tip: It was handy having a wet bar and mini fridge!

We've just returned from our first trip to Chicago. We chose the Omni because we had a great experience at the Pittsburgh location. The location was fantastic right in the middle of the Magnificent Mile. We purchased the hotel/breakfast/parking package for 4 nights (highly recommend this package as the valet parking alone is $54/night and we received $50 per night in restaurant vouchers). We didn't use our car once during our stay because most of the attractions were within walking distance or were easily commuted (make sure to try the water taxis to get around the Loop). The hotel staff and the restaurant were great. The reason I haven't given the OMNI Chicago 5 stars was that the front desk and lobby is not on the street level but on the 3rd floor necessitating using two sets of elevators. The first set to travel between the street level and front lobby and the second set to get from the lobby to the rooms. Although we didn't have to wait very long for either set of elevators we found this to be a bit annoying. Our room was a King suite with a pull-out sofa. The room was a little small but adequate as we didn't spend much time at the hotel. The room was a little worn and really needs some freshening. One last nit pick would be the grade of the toilet paper (similar to what you'd find in the public washroom at the mall). Again not up to snuff for the level of this hotel.
Overall these are small issues in an otherwise great stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again the next time we visit Chicago.

The Omni is in a great location right off Michigan Ave. across from Niketown. The elevators were a little slow and having to go to the 3rd floor and then change elevators was a little odd but not really a problem. I loved the sundecks. The chef was growing vegetables and herbs in containers on the decks. I thought that was a great idea and made me anxious to try the restaurant. The room was nice. My only complaint no full length mirror. We had cocktails in the bar which had tables and couches that overlooked Michigan avenue. The craft cocktails were interesting and delicious. My husband had the breakfast buffet and is still raving over the homemade jalepeno/blueberry sausage. He asked the waiter if he could buy a couple pastries to bring upstairs and the waiter just packed an assortment in a to-go box and did not charge him. I will return to the Omni.

We stayed for 6 nights in the Omni Chicago and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The staff were exceptional and were willing to help at any time. We booked the special rate for B & B and the buffet breakfast was terrific. The food was super and service excellent. The location of the hotel is excellent as it right in the centre of town and we were able to walk to most of the sites. We also made use of the hotel's complementry town car service as well.
My daughter enjoyed the pool, the only draw back I saw was that you have to walk through the gym to enter the pool area.
The suite rooms are lovely and the housekeeping service was good with a turndown service as well. The only thing that annoyed us- slightly- was the door between the bathroom and the bedroom rattled during the night and at times was hard to close because it went into its recess as it's a sliding door. But location, staff and little extras- cold drinks in the foyer- made the stay a very enjoyable one.

Just recently came back from a weekend in chicago and stayed at Omni, the hotel is in the perfect location and very close to everything from shopping, restaurants etc. our room was nice n a big and super clean. the only downfall to this hotel is having to get on an elevator from street level to the lobby and then another elevator to get to your rooms...will definately stay again if im in chicago, the staff was great at giving us suggestions on where to go for great food and a few clubs/bars

We stayed here with our 9 yr. old twins. My daughter loved the American girl doll package, and the room was able to accommodate all of us. My son enjoyed the sofa sleeper. I would definitely return to this hotel.
