Owner description: Soaring 1,000 feet over Michigan Avenue, 360 CHICAGO is one of the city’s most unique attractions. Located on the 94th floor of the John Hancock Center, 360 CHICAGO (formerly John Hancock Observatory) offers breathtaking views of Chicago’s skyline, the lakefront and four neighboring states. It’s also the only place you can enjoy TILT – Chicago’s highest thrill ride. This one-of-a-kind marvel tilts guests off the side of the building and provides the most thrilling views of Chicago. Come to 360 Chicago for the best views all around.

Great view and fun ride up to the observatory floor. Use care with the camera and you can get the screen to disappear.

The top Observatory is worth going if you can and the weather is clear -great views of the city - it's nice at night.

I've been to the Sears Tower Skydeck (will not refer to it as Willis) and it's definitely an "experience". You wait in line for a while, but you are surrounded with an interactive museum with cool facts about the tower and city. During the elevator ride you watch a video that shows how you have surpassed certain landmark heights which is just amazing; at the top you have The Ledge (the glass boxes) a great museum up there too, and a great view of the city. Now, Hancock's is kind of simple; there's a small line to get to the elevator; the elevator is just simple and a voiceover talks about the Signature Room, then at the top, all you have are windows and a "open air skywalk" - which is cool, yes. My point is, it's not a huge experience like Skydeck. It's mainly an observatory, but it gives great views of the city and for Christmas has Santa up there for pictures. If you want better views of the city, go here. If you want a two hour experience, go to the Skydeck. Both are equally fun.

This is somewhere you must visit if only for the views, which are fabulous. However the lounge area and atmosphere is very dissapointing. We were expecting a nice comfortable lounge, with large sofas, discreet lighting and somewhere to kick back and watch the great city of chicago change from day into night, but it was more like a service station cafe!!! What a shame :(

I chose this instead of Willis tower as I wanted to visit Navy Pier which is closer to Hancock tower. Like a lot of these observatory towers it offers excellent views of the city and you get an idea where the beaches are in the city as it appears to start on the corner of building.
