But for the beautiful view of the lake michigen, it would have been just another top floor observatory. We chose a bright and sunny day for our visit and liked it but nothing new about it if you have been to other observatories in other cities.

Let me preface this by saying I haven't been atop Willis/Sears Tower, but I love John Hancock. The building is incredible. Open til 11pm every night and a coffee/wine bar to enjoy the view. It's a must see in Chicago, especially during a sunset in the summer.

I visited the 96th Floor Signature Lounge and had a spectacular time. The views are phenomenal- you can see 3 states from the top. And the cocktails are fantastic- a nice way to cap off a day of exploration!

On the advice of a tour guide, we opted to visit this tower rather than the Willis tower and we were very glad we took this advice. We visited the Signature Room on the 96th floor instead of the Observatory and had a lovely lunch at a very reasonable price while enjoying a spectacular view over the city and the lake. Definitely a must for any visitor to Chicago - and absolutely great value for money.
