Again, plenty of great shopping and the people are all great. You will end up spending more than you thought if you arent careful! beautiful skyscraping buildings. Very well laid out. an easy walk if your hotel is close! Take a horse drawn carriage ride!

“HOURS of enjoyment”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

I do not like to shop, but when I do... its on N Michigan Ave. The wife loved all of the name-brand stores and also the smaller shops. I loved all of the places to eat. The further you go the more history you see with the water tower and universities etc! Plan on taking more than one trip up the Ave.

Our hotel was on Michigan Avenue. Full of life, shops and restaurants. Good transport links and tour buses.

“May have been better in the past”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

I am not really much into shopping but can see that this may have been a place to visit before out-of-town malls and internet shopping.
Can't see the joy in carrying shopping about when you can have it delivered or visit a mall with everything in one place (Gurnee mills for example)

Nice to stroll down though!

“Disappointment”
Reviewed October 7, 2012 via mobile

The Magnificent Mile is a product of marketing, Yes, the setting is beautiful, because the city is beautiful. It is pleasant to walk and find several nice stores in the same area. But the same can be found in other major US cities. There is noting new there.
