Either way this place is great to be if you want to chill out with a laid back atmosphere. The staff is well educated with their wines. And there is always something descent on the menu to nibble on.

Bad service kills a good place! If your paying $20 for a cheese plate, the least they can do is tell you what you ordered. Secondly, If your wine is bad (meaning it had a bad cork) you replace it, you don't give the customer an attitude. I want to love this place, I came here on my second date with my husband? But unfortunately they have changed and need a staff with training and without an attitude.

Looking for a really interesting place to enjoy time with friends and great wine, Webster's Wine Bar is for you. Great flight samples. The place is dimly lit with candles. Great date place to stop for a drink and appetizer.

Finding a good restaurant when you are on vacation is great, but finding an excellent locals-only, neighborhood place can make your whole trip. Websters is such a place. It's tucked into a small space in Lincoln Park, Chicago, and there is a good chance that neither your nor your cab driver will recognize it even when you pull up to the front of the building.

When you walk into the place, you will find it to be pretty crowded and pretty noisy. The motif and the general atmosphere is European, probably closer to Parisian and Valencian than anything else.

The wine list is extensive, moderately priced, and well-chosen. You don't often see a grouping of Alsatian wines outside of France, but Webster's list included some very nice choices. The food was served tapas-style and was very good. The menu included such items as marinated olives, warm brie with a head of roasted garlic, and chicken liver pate, all of which were wonderful.

We enjoyed sipping our wine and chatting with the many locals who occupied the place. Two glasses of wine each and three types of tapas totaled about $40.00.

Enjoyed a tapas and wine flight dinner here with my daughter, before we walked across the street to see a movie.
This place is convenient located in Lincoln park, parking across the street or close by.
Tapas are great...favorites of those we tried were the shrimp, the ceviche and the chorizo...but the roasted stuffed peppers were also very good. The pork tenderloin skewers seemed a bit overcooked and dry, although good flavor. The salmon entree was also delicious.
We each had one of the white wine flights and enjoyed determining which pairing was best with each dish.
Our server, Dylan, was very knowledgeable and took good care of us.

I would definitely come back.
