We went to the Field Museum as part of the City Pass. It has been years since our last visit. Once inside we regret not coming more often. This is truly a great museum. Displays and exhibits from all over the world and from space. Spending just one day here does not do it justice, however most schedules do not allow for more days. Look at the website and plan your day accordingly. There is a McDonalds in the basement so you do not need to leave the complex for lunch.

SUE the T-Rex was great along with the traveling exhibits. Young and old will be equally delighted with the displays. A lot of room inside to move around so you don't feel crowded at all. When you want to see the 3-D movie get you tickets right away so you pick your times.

I am not a big fan of museums but since having kids I have grown to love this place. Our 3 year old loves this place and it's a great springboard to teach her things when she asks "what's this?" at everything she points too. We also saw the 3d movie about Sue and we both learned a lot although it scared her a bit. Still, she wanted to see it again. They also have a little craft area for kids near the stroller entrance on the far east side and it's fantastic for your kids to make a mess there with the glue and not at home (they ask that you clean up though after). We made pumpkin decorations.

Great bathrooms too for kids in the kid craft area along with a changing area. I got a kickout of seeing the vending machine there too. It was filled with baby related things, like diapers, wipes, hand sanitizers and twenty other things. Good for them for thinking of moms and little ones.

There's a corner bakery in the museum and I think a McDonald's. Wish they had a food court though with better options like the other museums. I get so sick of boring Corner Bakery.

There's lots to see here and when they have certain exhibits on display these can be very educational and interesting. The mummy exhibit is great with a lot to see and of course the T-Rex Dinosaur Sue is there.

T-rex was great and they had some good exhibitions on - although these cost more money. Still not as good as the Natural History Museum in the UK which is of course free but still well worth a look, especially as that particular day in Chicago it rained non-stop!!!
