It is a great adventure to check out the Field Museum and see all the exhibits. We loved seeing Sue and all the other interesting things.

Lots of clueless parents doing a really sad job of supervising or even explaining the museum to their children. Nearly stepped on several toddlers who couldn't have been more than 15-18 months old who were walking around on their own. Only restaurant is a McDonald's. Exhibits were wonderful. Would love to return when the kids are back in school. IMAX Show was sold out by Noon. $29 for admission and the three special exhibits.

There is so much to see here--art, historical artifacts, dinosaur fossils, animals, etc. The Field Museum is great for young and old alike.

Be sure to take advantage of the trains/buses to avoid traffic and parking problems.

What a wonderful treasure house! This huge museum is filled with artifacts from cultures around the world as well as special exhibits that change several times a year. If your kids are into dinosaurs this is the place. Tiny galleries also include beautiful gems and jewelry as well as carved jade objects. Terrific museum shops too. Parking available adjacent to the museum in the garages for Soldiers Field. Special discounts for seniors and students. Allow at least 3-4 hours for viewing a special exhibit and 1-2 other galleries. This place is big so pace yourself.

I am a huge fan of museums. I thought this was a very nice musuem, I just don't get the cost of it. It's in a big city with a lot of support, we shouldn't be taxed so much. This is after you have paid to park $20.

The museum is really nice. With the general admission you get to pick one special exhibit and a imax show. The Imax show is first come. When we got there the shows were already sold out. I saw the Extreme Animals exhibit. You are not allowed to take pictures or use your phone while in the exhibit. I love taking pictures so that was a bummer for me. The regular exhibits are ok for pictures. I took advantage.

They have a lot of great artifacts and information. This is a huge museum and you would need several hours to see everything. I was there for 3 hours and that was just barely enough time. I plan to go back but no time soon. That is a lot of money, and definately not family friendly price wise but maybe that is to be expected for Chicago.
