Seeing "Sue" the TRex dinosaur inside the Field Museum is a great attraction. We visited in a previous visit and saw the largest intact TRex skeleton in the world.

What I really recommend however, is buying the extra tickets to watch the 3D movie about Sue. The information they have gained about Sue, her arthritis, age, previously broken ribs and injured leg, etc. is fascinating. Our 7 and 9 year old were on the edge of their seats, and our 2 year old sat mesmerized.

There aren't enough superlatives to describe the Field Museum. The variety of exhibits and environments takes more than one visit to take in. Be sure you make it part of your plan when you are in Chicago.

this museum is a very good place to go with people of any age but due to the large size of the museum expect it to take up a large part of your day.

This is it. There are so many amazing exhibits here I don't know where to start. Some of the most famous and interesting exhibits include Sue the t-rex, and Lucy the early pre-human. There is so much more! I'll let my glowing review slip into the field of other glowing reviews. By the way, world class bathrooms. Just go!

I have visited the Field Museum many times throughout the years, I have never been dissapointed. The museum is massive and impressive, the setting all around it is also quite beautiful, on one side you see Lake Michigan and the other Downtown Chicago all the while, surrounded by a park. The first sight upon entering the museum is the grand hall and Sue (the T-Rex)... there are many exhibits and as most museums, everchanging; my favorite was the Evolving Planet exhibit. There was also a hidden exhibit about 9/11, very touching; I say hidden since it was in the back of the Asia and the Pacific Exhibit. Once you are done visiting the museum, be sure to walk around the museum grounds, around the Shedd Aquarium, Soldier Field or even Grant Park. Make a day of it!
