Owner description: Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, Shedd Aquarium brings you eye-to-eye with more than 32,000 aquatic animals - from whales to snails, tarantulas to turtles, angelfish to zebra sharks!

Tourists packed and lined up for hours in the chilly wind without signs or explanation.
The exhibits are out of date and nothing special.
We regret to buy Chicago pass for wasting time and money on these lousy museums.

We loved the jellies! The Shedd Aquarium is definitley a fun trip for the whole family. Our group were all in late 20's early 30's and we loved it. But lots of stuff for kids to enjoy as well, obviously.

I treated my sisters town experience at Shedd tonight via groupon: $20 for two admissions special jelly exhibit and the aquatic show "a holiday fantasea!" Sounds too good to be true? Sadly, it was. My sisters and I arrived in time for the aquatic show, was admitted and was standing in line for said show before anyone mentioning to us we needed tickets to get in. We scrambled back to the front desk only to find out the tickets were limited and are a first come first serve basis...regardless of whether it came in groupon package that I already paid for! Does that make any sense to you?!

Needless to say, my sisters and I were very disappointed. Despite the good deal, offering shows and not honoring the already paid for tickets is a complete rip off. The aquarium knew how many people purchased via groupon and they should've opened another show instead of turning people (who already paid) away.

For people who uses groupon, be careful!

No, really - architecturally aquatic. Be sure to notice the building and the aquatic workmanship in the design of the old portions. Sea Horse, Octopi, Dolphins, nautilus and strange under water creatures are the designs of the 1920's plasterwork. The new Oceanarium with it's infinity edge pool over lake Michigan is an optical illusion worthy of any high priced resort pool in the world.
