We met our Chicago greeter here--a free tour guide program I'd also highly recommend! The building is very ornate and beautiful with incredible tile work. On a hot day, it's a nice break from the heat. Once per month the city provides 10 free weddings here one Saturday per month, and we happened to be here when all of the couples/families were arriving for these weddings, which was fun to see.

Amazing place with stunning Tiffany mosaics and interior decorations. Just across Michigan Ave from Millennium park entrance. Definitely worth to stop by.

I was completely taken by surprise stepping into this magnificent building! Intricate mosaics everywhere! I make sure to visit this building everytime I am in Chicago!

From a practical standpoint this is a great place to begin your exploration of Millenium Park, Grant Park, Museum campus etc. There is a great very underutilized tourism office with loads of maps brochures and helpful advice. The staff might even point you to some less obvious destinations such as the Pedway, Riverwalk, Loop L Tour etc. There are frequent free concerts and art exhibits throughout the building. Or take a self guided tour of this magnificent building - see the Tiffany dome, great mosaics and more
