Sort of Pricey considering we were not there very long. Still a great stop and conveniently located next to lots of food choices on Michigan avenue and Millennium Square.

There are day passes we didn't know about... Had to hunt info... The transportation is pretty simple. There are passes for that too.

I love the Art Institute and always visit my favorite Impressionists and American works when in the city. This trip, I spent a great day with my son in the new modern wing. H knows more about modern art than I ever will and he gave me a great tour. Not only is the collection engaging and extensive, but the space takes full advantage of its position to showcase the art inside and the art of the city gazing out. Several of the prime exhibit rooms have wide windows facing north to with the exuberant Gehry stage crowning Millenium Park in front of the hi-rise backdrop. A stunning City this and well worth a visit.

Im not massively big on Art, but thought I may as well visit the top attraction of Chicago. The building is fantastic.

It's good, with a good array of different art movements. Fairly priced with good student prices.

I did not enjoy the modern art however.

Stumbled upon the greatest collection of recognizable artwork I have ever seen. If you ever played the game Masterpiece as a kid, wandering the galleries at the Art Institute is like being on a treasure hunt!
