My husband and I did a Chicago Food Planet tour a couple of years ago in the Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhood so this time we did the River North tour called Best in Chow. We highly recommend both tours! The tours consist of approx 10-12 people which is the perfect size. Arrive hungry because the tours consist of full and sample-size portions. For Best in Chow you get a full slice of Chicago style pizza from Lou Malnati's, a churro from XOCO, half beef sandwich for Al's Beef, a full Chicago style hot dog from Portillo's Hot Dogs, a sample of Garrett popcorn affectionately referred to as "the Chicago mix" and the tour ends with a delicious brownie from Cambria Hotel (where for a small additional charge a glass of champagne can be purchased to pair nicely with the brownie!). Our tour guide was Bailey. Bailey multi-tasked as a knowledgeable tour guide offering tidbits of Chicago trivia, noting various points of architectural gems, keeping us paced together between stops and serving us at the various eating locations. She was a joy and worked hard to make sure everyone was having a good time. I should note that my husband and I are actually from a suburb of Chicago (we were the only locals on the tour) and we chose to take both food tours because you get to enjoy the great food offered by our great city. We recommend the Chicago Food Planet tours to all of our friends and family. It's fun to be a "tourist" in your own city! Thank you Chicago Food Plant Tours! Bon appetit foodies!

The Chinatown Food Tour was fantastic! Our tour guide Cat was super sweet and very informative. We had a blast and learned a lot while sampling excellent traditional Chinese food! We loved it!

Scheduled this at 5:30 on our first night in Chicago. Our guide, Amber, made it a delightful adventure with her impressive knowledge of the very finest purveyors of delicious food in neighborhoods beyond the Loop. Walking, tasting small plates matched with signature drinks, learning about how restaurants got their start, eating local...a wonderful two hours.

We went on the 3-1-chew tour with Elvira. It was a great day. Arrive hungry as the food is plentiful. The food places were great including Italian Beef, Falafel, Donuts, Pizza and Cold Chocolate. In between we toured Wicker Park and Bucktown. It was a part of the city we had never been too and enjoyed exploring it. Elvira was knowledgeable and fun to talk to!

This lunchtime food tour in the Wicker Park and Bucktown neighborhoods of Chicago is an excellent experience. Recommend this walking food Tour for plenty of delicious foods, neighborhood history, and interesting trivia. Elvira was considerate, fun, and helpful. Will definitely book another tour with Chicago Food Planet.
