“Attended a wedding at Tower Point”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

Even though it was a little foggy, this was a gorgeous spot for a wedding. The back drop of water with rocks popping out and topped by huge sea lions...was sooo relaxing and calm. It was an easy walk 15 minute from parking lot off Duke Rd W...even for my husband who has a heart condition. It is wheelchair accessible too. There are benches at the point but you might want to bring a folding chair so you can position yourself to watch all the water fowl, sea lions and rabbits. And best of all...no charge....parking is free and enjoying the park is too...where can you find that kind of value anywhere.

“Nice beach, great birdwatching and views...and free!”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

This is a wonderful natural park about 30 minutes drive from downtown Victoria. A nice place for a picnic, for birdwatching around the lagoon, and for a relatively easy half-hour hike through the forest, past the waterfall and lagoon, and to the beach. In addition to parking at the main lot adjacent to the nature house, one can also park at a small lot adjacent to a stairway which proceeds directly to the beach. A shorter walk to the beach, but that lot fills up quickly during peak times and cars parked along the road can get towed! No-parking zones are well-signposted,

I come here in late summer - is very quiet and has fabulous views across the water to the Olympic Mountains and toward Victoria. Nice to combine a visit here with the nearby and similar Devonian Regional Park and to enjoy the rural atmosphere of Metchosin..

“Nature at it`s Best.”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

A waterfall, a nature house, a birding santuary, a wild sandy beach, hundreds of lovely trees. Take a drive and park by the nature house for a 40 minute walk to the beach. It`s more of a hike, and not suitable for kids under 8 or wheelchairs.

What a nice way to spend the day. Beautiful sandy lagoon, not too busy that you can't space out. Habitats many creatures, birds, seals etc. really enjoyed my time.

“An Afternoon with Nature... ..”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

Went with my spouse, we walked the beach, went over the bridge where the waterfall was and the lagoon. The forest is very lush, the waterfall was lovely and the walking trails are well groomed. Took some nice pics. Parking was easy. We went after a rainfall so, there was a bit of mud so, rubber boots are recommended after a rain fall. In addition, should you want to go off trail which, my spouse and I did, be careful there are many picky bushes, my spouse experienced them 1st hand. The commute from Victoria is about 35 minutes.
