This is the second time I have eaten here. Once last year for the same event as this year. There were many, many of us attending the Moonshine Lunch Run on motorcycles. We have our sort of meeting here. The food is probably the best I have ever had at a mass feeding like this. The service was very good. They accommodated us with plenty of motorcycle parking. It is a large restaurant so having a few hundred show up was not a problem for seating. Of course they knew we were coming so they were well prepared. I am sure their food on an individual basis is very good also. If a place can prepare very good food for such a large group, serve it buffet style and still taste good you know their individual servings are going to be good.

Several times a year I make the drive from Terre Haute, with husband and/or friends, for a meal at Richards Farm. Lunch used to be a great value with good food that included a full salad bar for a very fair price. Alas the prices have risen, the salad bar has declined, so we now come for the Sunday buffet. Excellent "down home cooking" that includes a good selection of entrees, salad/soup/bread bar, and an interesting selection of desserts. I agree with another reviewer about the cream pies...odd fillings with four inches of merange on top, but there are plenty of other choices that are not fancy but tasty.
The main part of the restaurant, NOT available for the Sunday buffet, is cozy. The banquet room where the buffet is served is a large space with equally large tables. If you are a party of two you will still be seated at a table for 8 or 12, there are no small tables. It will just give you more room to spread out all the delicious food.

Richards Farm is a great place for a group or just to stop. Just off I-70 but not right in the main franchise food area. In a neat old barn.

This restaurant has declined in value and quality since we visited some time ago. The prices are 16.50/person, and the selection and quality of the food doesn't even come close to rivaling Ryan's or Golden Corral. Has to be kept alive by the locals who have no other choice, or the stragglers off the freeway that do not know any better. The entrees were as cold as the desserts. And the desserts might have been ok, but the coconut cream pie had 4 inches of meringue and something that resembled vanilla pie filling with a few strands of coconut brushed atop the bottom crust. Never had a pie like that before. Sad little pie. I felt so bad for it I didn't have the heart to eat it. Save your money. Instead eat something better like a day-old burger from anywhere else.

This restaurant is actually located inside a renovated barn. We had their sunday buffet and it was great! Huge selection of entrees from chicken, to beef, italian, noodles, potatoes, seafood, desserts wall to wall! A little pricey but very good. Good friendly service, and clean.
