We have a large porch with a great view of the Chime! Casey, Illinois is "small town" at its best...located on Interstate 70 bet is a great place to pause for a moment and enjoy the great food, unique shops, and interesting attractions!

“Pleasantly surprised”

Whitling Whimsey is decorated very creatively and is beautifully maintained. Also home to the World's Largest Wind Chime, it's interesting to watch the tourist traffic in Casey, Illinois. You should definitely take a break on I-70 and stop in. The food is primarily sandwiches and soups and excellent.

“Hidden Gem”

Pulled off the interstate to see the World's Largest Wind Chime and decided to have lunch at the café. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was all delicious and at great prices. I highly recommend the Pimento Grilled Cheese Sandwich and the Cole Slaw. Will certainly visit again!!

“Nice small town cafe”
Reviewed February 20, 2014 via mobile

Stopped in here for breakfast while traveling and was pleased. They have reasonable prices and the food was delicious. It was cooked fresh just like granny use to make. The Worlds Largest Wind Chime was definitely a sight to see! This place was a little taste of southern charm in the north.

“Come for the chime, stay for the food”
Reviewed June 27, 2013 via mobile

My family and I have eaten here several times. It's really a class act for our neck of the woods. The food was good, but pricey. It's a cute place and I enjoyed my time and my lunches. If you are in the neighborhood or on 70, it's worth the exit. The thanksgiving type- sandwich is my favorite. Good soup, too! Lots of sweet treats in the case.

“Why haven't I stopped here earlier?”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

This charming cafe is well worth a stop. I travel through Casey periodically and knew of this cafe but hadn't stopped until family members suggested it. What a find! It's new, sparkling clean, offers a small but excellent variety of lunch items and the bakery items were yummy. It's next door to the World's Largest Wind Chime and they sell wind chime related items. Be sure to take the time to look around at the decor and architecture of the building. We'll be back. Can't wait to introduce it to my husband the next time we're in the area.
