“Sushi by boat!!”
Reviewed December 2, 2012

The first time I visited it was a bit of a shock: sushi traveling around a circle on a river of water...chef's in the middle making favorites and your call-outs putting them "aboard" to float over...Now it's fun! and the all you can eat option for dinner or lunch is a great option if you're going to be eating lots and enjoying yourself...
The price makes eating sushi with your family a real option without it being a belt buster!
The food is fresh..the staff is always nice..and there's always coupons available...

“All you can eat sushi”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

We love this place because the sushi is fresh and priced fairly. My family loves trying different types of sushi off of the "boats". We have been loyal customers for over 9 years.

“Yes and No...”
Reviewed July 17, 2012

Kinda conflicted about this place. The concept is interesting...sushi "buffet" features a conveyor-like set of "boats" attached to each other that float (literally float! in a small channel of water( around the prep area inside. Each boat's cargo features different menu choices from salmon to tuna to seaweed salad to a few makis. So far, so good. Everything seemed fresh. Tasted fine. Buffet service, provided by staff members, was pleasant and attentive. The conflict: Selections from the boat are limited, but not to the point that I felt like i had limited choices. But you do see the same items on different boats. Of course, you can order "off boat" so to speak, which I did. One order was made and delivered promptly. I'm still waiting for the other. The other conflict arises from my attitude, I guess, toward sushi: I love fish, of course, and I savor the presentation from an expert sushi chef. There is no presentation at taste of tokyo...sushi pieces are put onto small plates, covered with a see-thru plastic lid and put aboard. Very utilitarian and practical...and I guess (again!) that if you're going for the fish, don't fret about the lack of presentation. Would I go back...well, yes and no. Yes for the buffet (about $22 for dinner)...and no for the unimaginative presentation of sushi...or the lack thereof.

“Used to be great ....”
Reviewed February 21, 2012

This restaurant used to be fantastic when you paid by the plate. Once they switched to All you can eat, it's been a downward spiral. The sushi is mostly rice, and the menu consists of regular & popular dishes but it's nothing special.
On a good note, their shumai is the best I've ever tasted.

“One of the best”

Great sushi, great atmosphere. One of my favorite places. Not the cheapest, but a good value.
