I have dined at Outback many times and love their Shrimp on the Barbie. But that memory was destroyed on my last visit. I ordered the filet and shrimp. The filet was supposed to be medium rare. When it was delivered to me there was not a shade of pink in the middle or the steak. I sent it back and started eating the shrimp. That was even disappointing. The shrimp was very small and rubbery. Did not taste good at all. Probably had been sitting around for awhile. My new filet was brought to me and was slightly pink (which is typical of cooked to medium). Medium rare should be a bit redder and it just wasn't to my liking. I was frustrated and didn't want to delay my party any longer so I ate it, well some of it. It was fairly tasteless. The server was oblivioius. I told her it was not cooked to medium rare and she just asked if it was good. I had eaten about 3 bites and pushed it aside. Should that not have been a good clue if she didn't understand when I said it wasn't cooked proper again? I was very frustrated and have written Outback off of my list.
