With the wonderful setting beside the water we had a very enjoyable lunch stop during our day trip driving around the island. The waiting staff were very good and the food was fantastic. Stopped because of the Lonely Planet recommendation and we were very pleased we did. In fact we stayed so long we just about missed the drop of time with our rental car back in Papeete because we could not drag ourselves away.

The fish we had was very fresh and very tasty. There was also a bit going on on the water to keep our interest including the little fish swimming around and the boating activity. I would recommend this restaurant.

We had the day to kill waiting for a late night flight and drove around Tahiti and stopped at Terre Mer for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised at the experience.

The food was very good and the service attentive. The menu is mainly seafood. There is a nice view from the decked seating area. Not a bargain, but definitely worth the stop.

This one was not in any of the tourist maps or guides, and even Lonely Planet missed it. At the far south end of Tahiti Nui, just west of the turn for Tahiti Iti, this is a great place, for a cold Hirano and the fried fish. Actually everything looked pretty tasty. There is a porch with ceiling fans, or you can sit inside next to a big window overlooking the bay where sailboats moor. Lovely music, cold beer, fabulous Tahitian view, very fresh fish.

My wife and I had lunch at this restaurant during our recent trip to Tahiti. We had a bayside table where we could see numerous juvenile fish swimming right in front of us. Overall, service was good considering that we arrived without reservations at what was obviously a very busy time. While my wife and I both had seafood, I had the seafood kebab with mahi-mahi, prawns, etc. Out of the two weeks we spent in French Polynesia, this was my favorite meal. Although the restaurant is bit south of town toward Tahiti-Iti, we would go back again for this dish and to see what else Frederic, the chef has to offer.

Nestled in the magnificent bay of Phaeton, we had with a couple of friends an excellent meal
this Sunday 18 th of August 2013.

After a full morning visiting the cascades spot on the east coast of Tahiti, we went to see from a boat the Billabong Pro World Tour on the world renowned spot of TEAHUPO'O. (waves are currently 8 meters high and create large wave tunnels appreciated by the Pro.

At the end of the morning championships sesssion, we went to Terre-mer.

Our meal was composed of raw fish tahitian style (green lemon and coconut milk), local jumbo shrimps in a curry sauce with diced taro, a large lemon sole, and a wonderful profiterolle desert

The restaurant is operated by a wonderful couple, their chef is really a pro.
Our guests who had spend a full week on the Gauguin cruise ship, with a french chef Vigato from Apicius were admirative of the quality of Terre Mer.
Last but not least the prices are more than reasonable according to the global quality location, food and service.

This restaurant deserves to be known.
