We stayed for 2 nights at this lovely old farm. The pictures you see on line do not do it justice. The rooms are a good size and the accommodation is split over two floors. Lounge and breakfast room down stairs while the bedroom and massive bathroom upstairs. We were greeted with a warm smile, we needed it after several hours stuck in traffic! There was home made cake and biscuits left for us with the tea and coffee. We selected the time for our breakfast and what we would like from the menu. It was delivered into the breakfast room and we were left in piece to enjoy the plentiful portions. There are lots of little touches here including door bells in many of the rooms to call the hosts..A lovely B&B with friendly hosts, we will be back.

My wife and I stayed here recently whilst attending a nearby wedding. It's very high in standard and wonderfully decorated with lots of nice little details. The host Jonny was very accommodating and cooked a fantastic breakfast - we went for full English and pancakes with maple syrup, yum!!

I'd recommend Higher Farm in a heartbeat, the en-suite (with walk in wet room) alone is worth the money.

Fab last minute find when needed a bed for night for a 50th birthday party. Excellent spacious accomodation, beautiful eclectic decor and very friendly host. Host of DVDs and books to browse Only regret is that it was such a flying visit i didnt get time to read them! Nice touch of homemade cakes on arrival which was very welcome after dreadful traffic on way down. Great breakfast
Would highly recommend and look forward to returning with the rest of the family

We stayed here earlier in the year, sadly only for one night as we were going to a wedding nearby. It was perfect. so peaceful, and such a surprise to find that youre really getting your own little cottage, with a dining room and small sitting room. A homely, eclectic mix, with lovely art on the wall, records and books scattered around, it seems, and a fire in the sitting room. But the best bit - the bedroom -just lovely! If you want modern and bland and finished , then maybe look elsewhere. If you like lovely old buildings with character and original features, book now! A lovely tea and coffee tray with a jug of proper milk, and homemade biscuits. Lovely, huge bathroom with floorboards and modern fittings. The bed - sumptuous, with a fluffy duvet, and lovely bed linen that smelt so fresh. Jonnys dad served our breakfast in the morning - huge and just like you wish your mum used to make!! We will definitely return!

Such an amazing place, I stayed here with my daughter Daisy, we loved it, the hosts were amazing so friendly as were the pets :)

We left feeling like we had been to visit friends not stay at a B&B.

The accommodation was so lovely and homely, clean and tidy, lovely big bath and a massive shower, comfy beds, DVD's and even board games for us to use.

We will be going back again next year, as soon as I have booked the time off work we are going to book early so we don't miss out.

After a lovely cooked breakfast and a long chat in the sun looking at the amazing views we were on our way, both very sad to be leaving Higher Farm behind.

My wife, eleven month old son and I were attending a friend's wedding nearby and stumbled upon some great reviews of Higher Farm when searching for accommodation. It lived up to expectations and previous glowing reviews.

We were greeted by Jonny's dad, who couldn't have been more friendly, helpful or accommodating during our 2 night stay. The rooms were lovely, particularly the bedroom and main bathroom. The weather was so hot and sunny and we were able to sit out in our own garden area in the evening, overlooking tranquil countryside.

You are not really getting a typical B&B - it's more like a private apartment with a lovely breakfast served each day, at whatever time you wish. Whilst it is at the higher price end, it really is worth it for what you get, and the great service. You can relax and feel completely at home during your stay.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Higher Farm and would certainly come back if we are visiting the area in future.

We stayed at this B&B when visiting Longleat Safari Park, Bath and Cheddar Gorge.
We loved the location as it was very pretty and peaceful, with beautiful views of the country side. The accommodation was like staying in a private cottage with the breakfast room and lounge downstairs, and the bedroom and bathroom situated upstairs. There was also an attic room which was ideal for families.
The family were great hosts, very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was served at the chosen time between, 7:00am-9:00am, with a varied choice. it was all delicious! On request we were also provided with an excellent packing up for the day trip.
We enjoyed watching the selection of DVD's, and the board games were an added bonus.
The families dogs were very friendly, and we enjoyed meeting the chickens, horses, and three baby sparrows nesting in the cottage wall.
I would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast, it was excellent!!!
