We've been to this restaurant at least six times, and have never been disappointed! When ever we get a taste for Mexican food this is the first place in the area we think about going. Not only is the food tasty, they make great margaritas . It is also in a great location in downtown Batavia not far from the river walk.

Our family of 4 dined here because we heard good things, read good reviews on trip advisor, and this place has a huge and great looking menu. Boy were we fooled! This was the worst dining out experience I have had in a LONG time. When we left, I actually turned to my boyfriend and said "I never want to eat out again. I feel so ripped off."
All 4 of us had bad meals. We were starving, but none of us could even eat half of what we got because none of it was good. Between the 4 of us, we tried chicken, steak, pork, and seafood. NONE of the meat had been seasoned. It was all bland and, while not inedible, it just didn't taste good AT ALL. None of us drank, we just had 4 crappy meals, and our bill totaled $80!
I wouldn't have been upset with the food or the service if this were a $2 taco stand, but this is a sit down restaurant with high prices. The food and the service just do NOT justify what they are charging. We will never be back.

Personally, I prefer the place down the street, but the food here is good (chips are greasy) - and they were open on a holiday! The staff at the counter is very nice - we usually do carry-out.

This is one of our regular date-night restaurants. Our favorite Mexican place, with or without the kiddo. A cute part of town, it's nice to walk along the shops, across the river, after filling up on great food. Highly recommended!

El Taco Grande has great food. It is not 100 percent authentic but the brothers brought their experiences with them and make flavored that speak to one in an authentic way. This is a family business and carries that atmosphere. It is worth a visit if you are looking for variety in your tex mex / Mexican options.
