“Best Dinner restaurant in town!”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

Food is always delicious - the fish entrees are spectacular and the sauces are scrumptious! Service is always excellent and friendly. Excellent wine list and delicious champagne cocktails. Prices reasonable for the quality of food.

“First of many visits”
Reviewed May 12, 2013 via mobile

In town to spend Mother's Day weekend with our youngest grandchild (and her mommy and daddy too) and decided to see if other reviewers were correct that a fine dining experience could be child friendly. We were not disappointed, and can only wonder about the mediocre review from earlier in the year. All superlatives are well deserved, from the imaginative cocktail assortment to the well chosen wine options, and of course the food courses. Grandma enjoyed a perfectly prepared rack of lamb, while the rest of us delighted in the fish options. The vesuvious cake dessert was a perfect end piece. If we lived nearer, this would be a regular fine dining choice.

“Love the Food and the Bar.”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

The food at the Barrington Country Bistro is excellent. The menu changes and although it has a French Flair, it is not just French dishes. The last time we went, the 6 of us were early and although we could have been seated, we decided to have a cocktail at the Bar. It was the highlight of the evening. The bartender created some very interesting martini's and cosmos for the ladies and did a great job with a Manhattan and margarita. So many bartenders make everything with sour mix and seldom follow the original recipes. That was not the case here.
Come early, enjoy the bar before your your dinner.

“Delicate Preparations and Unique Flavors”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

The food at this restaurant is some of the best you will find in the suburbs of Chicago. The service is also stellar. This is truly a French style restaurant, but it is not overly expensive. My wife and I both highly recommend this place.

The menu changes so you always seem to find something new and it doesn't much matter what you order because the chef here knows what he is doing.

While the atmosphere is elegant, it is not stuffy and is always welcoming.

“Superb wine dinner”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

The BCC hosted a wine dinner featuring small production Oregon wines. The pairings were masterful. Just two examples: Coconut crusted Prawn with a white wine in the style of the southern Rhone, osso-bucco style game hen with duck--liver walnut filling matched with a Pinot Noir and also a Sauv-based bordeaux blend. The wines from Alexandria Nicole and River's Edge sold themselves---nice food wines at very reasonable prices.
But, I have to say, as usual, the food is the star of the show at BCC. Congratulations to everyone involved.
