“Wine Dinner--Absolutely Remarkable”
Reviewed May 6, 2012

We recently attended a wine dinner at Barrington Country Bistro. We probably eat at BCC 5 or 6 times a year, but have never attended a wine dinner.

If you think the BCC always performs at a high level (as I do) you might be surprised to know that the wine dinner menu was even more elegant than usual. The ingredients and preparation were simply outstanding... the best meal I have ever had at BCC (and i am always happy, never unhappy there.)

Did I also mention that the wine dinner is priced very reasonably? $65 for 4 courses and 4 wines.

“Best in the Burbs”
Reviewed April 24, 2012

As other reviews have said, this is clearly the best restaurant in the suburbs. After 15 years they show no signs of slowing down. The chef is turning out his best food ever, the service remains stellar, and managment seems to really have a good thing going here. Really Great!

“Always a treat!”
Reviewed April 10, 2012

This is, and has been for years, my favorite restaurant in the suburbs. Barrington Country Bistro has been owned and managed by the same owner since it opened. It's nice when the owner, Jean Pierre, and his excellent staff know you and you are always greeted warmly. There is a featured weeknight special, "date with a dish", that typically changes with the seasons. Cassoulet, during the cold months is a must and is extraordinary! I always start the meal with Escargot and Caesar Salad or Salad Lyonaisse. The Roast Duck (Wednesday special) is a favorite or Hangar Steak and Bistro Frites. Wonderful seafood items. Desserts are lovely and delicious. The decor is subtle and warm. Fantastic wine list as well. Bon Appetit!

“A area gem”
Reviewed March 8, 2012

We have had many excellent meals here and never get bored because of the daily changing menu. Staff/service is always outstanding. Bar area is small but has a very nice vibe. Nice selection of wines by the glass and speciality drinks.

“Best Fine Dining in Chicago Northwest Suburbs”
Reviewed February 4, 2012

We finally found a superior dining experience in the Chicago Northwest Suburbs. The Barrington Country Bistro is it. This is nothing like what you get at all of the higher-end, chain-like pretenders that are surround the Chicagoland area. This place is unique and special. From attention to flavor detail to incredible service, this IS the place to go for fine dining.

Don't get me wrong, this is no Le Ti Bouchon (http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g147346-d1372507-r108237134-Le_Ti_Bouchon-St_Maarten_St_Martin.html), but food here is close and the service is 5 star.

I have been to many highly rated French restaurants in the Chicagoland area, old and new, and none compares to the flavors here. The Barringnton Country Bistro does French Cuisine right.
