Let me start by stressing i have been coming here on a regular basis since the late 80's. The place was fun and they had some of the best fried chicken around. My wife and one of our friends had a craving for some chicken yesterday, so drove over to Kelsey's expecting a good meal. To our surprise......boy has the place changed! We asked to sit outside on the huge patio, but we were told it wasn't open.......guess mid-60's was too cold for their servers. We were then told to sit anywhere else. We picked a table, and brought our menus. We then proceeded to order our drinks. The drinks were delivered and we asked for a few more minutes before we ordered as we were basically too busy talking. Anyhow a few minutes later, we are advised that we needed to move as a party was coming in and they needed that area. Not only were we not given an apology as they told us to sit anywhere........we had to carry our own drinks and menus as we found someplace else to sit.....no help from the waitress at all Anyhow a few minutes later after tracking down our waitress, we placed our order. The two ladies ordered their favorite fried chicken, and i ordered the meatloaf dinner.......which may i add, the prices have gone thru the roof. Food arrives, and the genius waitress couldn't remember who ordered what.......keep in mind there were only three of us. Now back to the over priced food......what a joke. The skin/batter on the fried chicken was so thick, you could barely bite thru it. The chicken itself was totally tasteless. The meatloaf was bland, and the mashed potatoes could have been used to mortar a house. Oh yea.....while we were attempting to down this crap......our waitress never returned to get us refills. We needed to track down another waitress. What a joke! Bad food and poor service.. There are many better places to spend your money. Only reason i gave one star is i can't figure out how to give none!

This used to be a good place to go for a reliable weeknight quick dinner. Food is still mostly the same, but they are evidently having trouble finding good servers. All new faces at the desk and the dining rooms. We were seated right away and given the option of several tables in the area, but it took 10 minutes for our server to get even a drinks order. Food arrived long after we ordered it, but it was hot and fine. Server was clearly overwhelmed with just a few tables. Hoping this was her first night and things will improve, a lot!

We've lived near the Kelsey Road House for years, but this was our first time doing the Friday night, all you can eat, fish fry. We dined in the main level area (the older, downstairs sitting area has a funky, musty smell), and arrived on the early side; around 5:30. We were seated quickly, and our waiter (I'm pretty sure his name was Tony), promptly took our drink/appetizer order. He was super attentive, a really nice guy. We both ordered the fish, which was good, not spectacular, but about what you would expect. They offered a decent variety of sides, and the bread pudding with a warm whiskey sauce was delish. We saw several tables that had ordered the pizza, and we'll be going back again to give that a try. The excellent service has made this our new (old) "go to" place.

We stopped in on our way home from a baseball tournament and the patio was the perfect place for a cold drink and some appetizers.
