“Coeur D'Alene Casino Resort Hotel, very nice stay”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

Recently stayed at the casino after watching an MMA style fight. Had a room in the Spa towers and was extremely pleased with the stay. Overall the staff was very attentive, the room was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The drinks at the Nighthawk bar were prepared correctly, they were priced very reasonably, and my tab was 100% accurate when I closed it out. Additionally the server Monique made sure my glass was never empty for more than just a brief moment while the place was packed.
We enjoyed our brief stay and will return again when there is an event we want to see.

Room Tip: The Spa towers are a newer addition to the hotel. The rooms wee much quieter than our previous stay...

This has so much potential, but too many staffing/traing problems to be that good. The new section is quite nice and the spa is great. Golf is the best in the region. But staffing and service are poor. They need a serious focus on "customer experience". Lack of staffing on the weekend caused long waits at bars and restaurants, staff did not know menu and did not know beer offerings. Managers keep wandering around, but not dealing with the isses. Morning latte is made from a Keurig machine, not a barrista caffee machine, so is very slow and not up to quality.

Room Tip: stay in the newer, spa towers

My husband and I went with a Sr Ctr bus tour this month and we had a great time. There were at least 6 or 7 different places to eat and the food was great, inexpensive and large portions, a great spa area and a non-smoking gambling section. We found 2 machines side by side and had a great time playing. They staked us to $20 each and we played 2 times and walked away with most of it intact. Great shopping for me and the some of the prices were excellent, i.e. mega beaded bracelet $7. We spend one afternoon in the spa and they treated us like royalty, I had a manicure, my polish is still perfect and our massage was out of this world. Our room was fabulous. My only complaint was the hard bed in the old section. I have arthritis so that may not be a problem for anyone else. All the staff was friendly and well dressed, didn't see any criminal looking staff...they all went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Advice: Before you plan on doing anything, walk the entire length of the casino and get a feel for the layout. You can get lost even if you think you know where you are going. Just ask someone and they will give you great directions and a friendly smile. We went to the new section and asked for a look at one of the rooms, we were waited on promptly and a very nice young man showed us the room and all the appointments. Great tour!!!!! All of our meals were to die for and the presentation was excellent. Can't say enough what a good time we had!!!!!!! Tip: More things are happening on the weekend, we were there Wed, Thurs and left Friday....no early breakfast except at the food court or the coffee bar or buffet.

Room Tip: If you have back or hip problems pay the extra to stay in the newer part. Beds are hard in the old p...

We stayed at this resort for one night and it was very nice. The room was very well appointed, clean and quiet. The coffee and travel essentials that were provided were very good. We had dinner at the main buffet restaurant and the selection was huge. The meal was very good. The non smoking offering in the casino was a breath of fresh air. Literally. We had fun trying our luck in the slot machines.

The only drawback to this resort is the location if you are expecting to be within close proximity to Coeur D'Alene proper. This place is about 25 minutes outside of the city and so driving back to town wasn't attractive to us after a long 8 hours on the road.

Overall a very nice experience.

We stayed in the Spa Tower, amazing room and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The food was above average and the spa was VERY nice.
From checking into the hotel to the wait staff and every interaction we had with an employee, they were tattooed, criminal looking drug addicts and gangsters. I would have been willing to put that all aside but they were also rude, incompetent, uninformed, unaware, slow and just useless.

This is a fun annual stay for us. We golf and do a little gambling in the casino. The staff is always friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean. We had a problem this year because a family checked in on the floor above us with little children who were squealing and jumping off the bed for over an hour at 2 am! We called the desk but it took at least 20 minutes for it to stop.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the upper floor

What used to be just wheat fields...has become a destination casino near Worley, Idaho. It's most certainly worth a visit...because you either enjoy casino's OR you enjoy golf. I cannot speak for the golfing but the new side (there is an old side and a newer section) of the hotel was clean and comfortable...NOTE here that the beds were SOFT which I prefer. My other family members were in the older section and they had HARD beds which they did not care for...FYI.
In the newer section they have lights/electric that work by key card and I had never experienced that before so something new to learn. The view out to the fields was nice....the sunday brunch was nice...the casino looked fun but I never got to actually play.

Room Tip: Hard beds vs Soft beds...choose based on that as there is an old section of the hotel and the new se...
