For $75/night, you get a full apartment, use of laundry facilities, and a hot tub! It's close to the heart of town and right off the freeway. It's clean, well-furnished, and well-maintained. And they have weekly and monthly rates as well!

This once thriving mining town has worked hard to transform itself into a destination for travelers. Wallace offers lots to do, including community festivals, local live theatre, museums, places to eat, grocery store, etc. Did I mention an outdoor public pool where adults swim for just $1 (kids for 50 cents)?
The Hercules Inn is clean, quiet, and has 4 rental suites. It is located within easy walk of the downtown core. The unit we stayed in had a full kitchen, super chill A/C, outdoor hot tub, and ensuite lounge with an extra double bed and tables/chairs for eating or just hanging out. The Inn is situated metres from the iconic Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes. My husband and I arrived in town late one evening, after most of the local restaurants had closed. The owner of the Hercules (who happens to own a well known eatery in town) proceeded to cook us dinner, just after closing time for his diner! Delicious food and down home hospitality indeed.
Definitely recommended.

I found Hercules Inn on Tripadvisor. What a great find! I called to book through the ‘Red Light Garage’. Barbara took my information and told us to come to the ‘Red Light Garage’ when we come to town as she owns both. Red Light was easily found as the bold red building and the spaceship in the parking lot could not be missed! Barbara and her husband Jaime welcomed us when we got in that evening. Barbara had us follow her in her car a few blocks to Hercules Inn. First glance at Hercules Inn kinda made me wonder what we had gotten ourselves into. It a large tan Victorian looking house but slightly off in a way. We were guided to park under a carport and led upstairs. It was just like an upstairs apartment layout. Two room entrances were side by side with a good size patio with table and chairs on patio area. This was overlooking the Jacuzzi and towards the freeway overpass. The overpass was not the best view but you really couldn’t hear the traffic much, nor see cars. Underneath the over pass was a popular concrete bike trail that goes for miles. As for the room, it was actually an entire apartment! It was fantastic. Foyer, large modern full kitchen, nice bathroom, living room with a bed. Nice big bedroom with very comfortable bed. Cute furnishings with interesting touches everywhere. There was a pay washer and dryer available downstairs which they supplied the detergent and I believe it was only .25 / load! If I recall correctly, I believe there was a hair dryer in the bathroom. Kitchen had pretty much everything and coffee pot. The entire place only has four rentals and it was $75 per night – NO TAX! This was not a B&B but their other venture, ‘Red Light Garage’ was not far for a nice breakfast with good prices. Had a fantastic huckleberry milkshake the evening before too! We found Jaime to be very personable and very fun to talk to about the history of Wallace and the area. He was the one that turned the dilapidated house into the Hercules Inn and the gas station into ‘Red Light Garage’. Well worth the price and a fun place to experience

Room Tip: There is only two rooms upstairs and two rooms downstairs all with the same views. It's all good...

What a wonderful surprise to find such a TREASURE in Wallace Idaho. When looking for accommodations on the internet we found The Hercules Inn, at $75.00 per night and only a $5.00 charge for our chihuahua, we were not sure what we would find when we arrived.
We were amazed at the size of the suite and the modern kitchen and bathroom. The decorations were tasteful and the furniture was comfortable and homey. We could tell that Jamie and Barb put a lot of work into making guests comfortable. The towels were huge and soft. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. We especially liked the little cordial glasses.
We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return for snowboard season and try out that hot tub!

Unbelievable. For less than the price of a hotel room, we had an apartment - a separate bedroom, full kitchen with dishwasher and full sized refrigerator, two flat screen TVs (one in the bedroom, one in the living room), thermostats to heat the room, a room air conditioner, beautiful new appliances and finishes. There is a washer/dryer available. It was huge. There are 4 covered parking spaces. A hot tub outdoors. We had an upstairs, south side unit. Although the freeway is across the street, we hardly heard it. At night, we had the windows open for the wonderful fresh, cold mountain air. We didn't need the a/c during the day (just before Labor Day).
Wallace is a nice town, has a couple of decent restaurants, and is right on the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes bike path. It's a paved path that runs 72 miles from the other side of Lake Coeur D'Alene (it has a dedicated bridge over the lake) up to Mullan. Wallace is an historic mining town, and although there aren't lots of restaurants and coffee shops, we were happy.

If you want a nice getaway in the dog days of summer, I would stop here. In Idaho you can buy silver without sales tax. This is a mining district and silver is spoken here. Any silver investor should touch base here and learn about the mines and buy a couple of rounds.

I also heard from a local that Jamie plays sax at the Red Light Garage cafe. His drummer evidently plays a laundry basket (bass) and an ashtray (cymbals) which work well in the small venue. I was sorry to miss this.

If you are staying in Wallace, Idaho this is the place to stay. It is like staying in a very nice, small apartment (bedroom, full kitchen, sparkling bathroom and large living room). It is exceptionally clean, comfortable and well kept. The King-size bed was very comfortable. There were two large screen LCD TVs; one in the bedroom and one in the living room. The Wi-fi worked great. There is a coin-operated washer and dryer available if you need to do laundry. There was no air conditioner in the bedroom but there was a fan to use. There is no continental breakfast offered, but we didn't have a problem with that. There is great covered parking provided.

At $75 a night, this place is an outstanding value. The owners of the inn also own the Red Light Garage cafe, which is where you go to "check in" for the inn (it's just a short drive from the cafe to the inn; a little different, but not a big deal).

I must say that my husband and I were pleasantly surprised by our accommodations. More than what we expected for the price. Our king size bed was very comfortable, had lots of room to move around, WiFi worked perfectly and we had a cool place for our Miniature Schnauzer to relax while we were out on the trails. We were able to use the hot-tub on a couple of cool nights and our neighbors were awesome! We had plenty of space to store our Cargo trailer and quads! We will definitely be back! Thank-you Jamie!

Room Tip: Rooms 1 & 2 are on the lower level. Bedroom has it's own room. You may hear some noise fro...
