Owner description: Located in the heart of Teton Valley, in the majestic Yellowstone/Teton area and wrapped on it's southern border by the Caribou-Targhee national Forest, Headwaters Golf Club is quickly becoming the mountain course of choice visiting the region. A unique triumvirate of talent, golf legend Byron Nelson, Open Champion Steve Jones and architect GAry Stephenson masterfully crafted both the 18-hole and 9-hole courses. This unique group understood Mr. Nelson's design philosophy; a shot well struck by any golfer should be rewarded.

“Sensational couse in great shape!”
Reviewed August 16, 2011

My nusband recently returned from a 10 day trip to Scotland to play golf so his expectations were high for this course......... and we both loved it. It is a challenging course but fair and people at all levels of skill would enjoy it. Also, the landscaping is beautiful!

“Great course, great vistas”
Reviewed July 17, 2011

Headwaters golfcourse was cold and wet when we went. The rain was coming down pretty hard. We weren't sure we wanted to go out. The folks at the clubhouse were great and suggested that we put off heading out by a couple of hours to give the weather a chance to change. They said not to worry, that given the weather they could accommodate our needs/desires. So, when we returned, the weather still hadn't cleared, they showed us the rain enclosure that they had outfitted the golf cart with. The front, sides and back were completely protected from the elements. The golf clubs were covered too! Honestly, this made all the difference between having a great time and a miserable time.

So, with this set up, we headed out to play. The rain continued to come down and all the water elements were flowing full. But, the course held up surprisingly well. The balls still bounced up the fairway. The course did not feel soggy at all.

Also, the views were incredible. It's worth the views to play this course.

After nine holes, we took a coffee break to warm up. Although up until then, everything seemed well marked, we had a difficult time finding out way to the clubhouse. Normally, it couldn't be more obvious. Well, we made it and eventually on our way out we found the 10th tee, so no major issues. But, the club could look to add some signage.

I highly recommend this course. If I could have played it in the sunshine, I'm sure it would have been even better.

“FANTASTIC AMENTITIES, GOLF COURSE, VIEWS AND HOSPITALITY!”
Reviewed September 14, 2010

We have visited Teton Springs for the last four summers and have fallen in love with the community and overall area. The course is terrific, always in excellent condition and a challenge at all levels. We spend relaxing time fishing in the lakes for a great variety of trout and enjoy the pool after a hour workout in the well equipped fitness center. Our hope is to be able to continue visiting during the summer months to enjoy golf and the overall area. It is close enough to Jackson to go for dinner or a day of shopping but not have the crowds of people of Jackson. We have enjoyed the Headwaters Club dinning as well as a few of the local restaurants.

“Headwaters Club, west of Jackson Hole, an absolute Gem!”
Reviewed September 2, 2010

We were taken with the Teton Springs Resort and its Headwaters Golf Club the moment we saw it when visiting family in the area. Being from Colorado we had of course learned to love that state's mountains and its cosmopolitan western ambience. But coming upon the Headwaters Club and its magnificent setting we realized this was something beyond our experience even as Coloradans. I have never encountered a more beautifully planned resort. The golf course itself is spectacular, set on rolling terrain up against forested lands and woven amongst a succession of beautiful ponds and lakes. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly, and the amenities--a boutique hotel, a spa, a beautiful outdoor swimming pool, tennis, fly fishing, and much more--make this an unparalleled vacation OR destination opportunity. "Western" small towns (charming and quirky too) and ranchlands dot the Teton Valley floor, and the pleasures of the exceptional skiing at Grand Targhee, of the tourist features of nearby Jackson Hole, of summer concert series of all sorts, of family-friendly rodeos, and of two of the nation's premier parks--Grand Teton and Yellowstone--make this a year-round prospect. Readying myself for 9 holes I greeted a friendly visitor. "A beautiful day," I said. Said he, "just another day in paradise". Walking on I whispered to myself , " I couldn't agree more!".

“With breath taking vistas, Headwaters Golf Club is a 5 star diamond with a rough.”

From the tips to the green, this golf course has your attention. Remember, puts break toward the Big Hole Mountains! It is monumental fun and a challenge for even the most ardent golfer. Next time in the Tetons? Bring your clubs.
