I stayed on business for two nights. I arrived in my first room and went to pull out the desk chair and there was a dirty shirt in the seat! The staff member was very apologetic, and gave me a new room. I feel that the cleanliness of the rooms could be better. Things just get missed: the outside of the tub not being wiped down, the cobwebs in the corner, the office chairs not being wiped down, and the dirt on the bathroom floor in the corners not being swept up. just the little things like this add up to having a not so happy experience. On a better note, the bed was comfy, the staff was very friendly and courteous, and the breakfast was quite good.

Thank you for sharing your thought about your recent stay, I am very pleased to hear of our friendly staff and appreciate you commenting. I apologize for your room cleanliness condition. This is clearly not our standard and I will get with our housekeeping team to address and rectify the situation. Your comments are appreciated and will help us to better achieve our goals.

Sometimes a hotel just feels like things could be better, should be better.....but nobody really cares. When the staff treat the place like it's a "job that pays the bills", it only takes a short time before the facility begins to show that attitude. This is the impression I had while staying at this hotel. The lobby has been re-done. The first impression is new and modern. However, the rest is simply below average where the maintenance staff must ensure themselves long lunches and extended afternoon breaks. For example, the entry door at the side of the building is on a bind, to where it take a good tug to open it. The carpet in the hallways are extremely worn. Once in the room, the bathroom door looked like it had been borrowed from a liquidation sale and cut to fit the bathroom, only they forgot to repaint it. The caulking had be done, re-done and then.....wait for it......re-done! I always thought that you were supposed to remove the old caulking prior to re-doing it. At the very least it does look better by doing it that way! This can be an easy corner to cut....! The heating system was very "different", however, it did work. The old exterior wall mounted unit with push buttons for hot or cold. No thermostat to worry about, just getting up in the night to re-adjust the temp. We ordered extra towels as three were all that were provided with four in the room. It took over an hour and a half for delivery and by that time we had all showered and gone to sleep. Housekeeping actually walked in as it took us a few minutes to realize someone was at the door. The fourth person got tired of waiting and dried off with hand towels. The "public" computer system has a 15 min time limit. Not a bad idea, especially for people who surf, except it took over three minutes for the google home page to load up. With that kind of speed and technology, surfing was not the problem! That however, was not going to work. Time is very valuable! We did not take advantage of the breakfast, but it did look very good! Now the good....! 1) The room was clean! 2) The beds were comfortable! 3) The price was right! Being we were traveling on business, we got in late and left early both days so for a place to sleep this hotel did the trick. That is why I gave it an average rating. I know I could have paid more and stayed elsewhere with better service and newer/better maintained facilities, but this hotel fit our needs. In reviewing a hotel, I try to be honest and fair. Hotels are generally not cheap and fortunately, we all have options. As people choose one hotel over another, the older, less maintained hotels loose business and consequently can't afford good help and maintenance, eventually forcing them to close. If your goal is a clean room at a decent price, I would feel safe in telling you about this hotel. If you want a little more and are willing to pay for it,.....look around and you will do better!

Room Tip: If you don't mind the stairs, take the second floor.

I travel often on business, and regularly stay at Red Lion hotels. The Twin Falls, Idaho property staff are just about the friendliest I've ever known. The rooms are clean, the food in the lounge is tasty, and the beds are quite comfortable. Thumbs way up!

Room Tip: I like the handicap accessible rooms. Little more floor space.

Had an excellent experience at the Red Lion-Twin Falls while traveling on business. The check-in was quick and efficient, and the room was spotless. Breakfast was included and was surprisingly good for a buffet set-up: scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, juice, cereals, coffee, etc. Our group also had a pre-paid luncheon for 70 people. Excellent food & table service. Went with a group of 10 to an off-site dinner at Jaker's which also exceeded my expectations, and was a great value.

The hotel is a very good 2.5* hotel. We purchased online at Priceline and for the price it was excellent value. The rooms are a little tired but CLEAN and of reasonable size. Coffee maker in room. Bed was very comfortable (after 10hrs driving) and the room was quiet facing the pool.
The breakfast for $4.99 was good value with lots of choice for a hot breakfast (bacon, sausage, eggs (no problem with them) and hash browns. My wife had the waffles and she said they were OK but not outstanding ( Automatic dispenser).
All in all we'll definitely stay here whenever we're passing through Twin Falls ( which we do 3-4 times per year).
If you want 4* pay for it - if you want a good CLEAN quiet 2.5 -3* hotel this one fits the bill perfectly.

Room Tip: some renovation taking place and some rooms overlook the pool
