This place boasts a great sunset view, and super nice staff. We only ate appetizers and beer, but the jalpaleno poppers were superb.

Well yes, the restaurant sits right above the river with a patio and all. We decided to sit up on the patio, staffing decided to only accommodate the whole patio of about 20-25 people with 1 waiter. Beautiful place, decent food, horrible service. And... the food takes a long while. We probably were waiting for a little over an hour. Nice people there, just need to pick up on their service skills a little more.

We love that it has a deck that sits right on the Salmon River, it has a spectacular view of the Sawtooths, the food is basic burgers, steaks etc. nothing to not like but nothing to love. If you get a seasonal waiter you will probably have an ok experience, if you get the owner or family most likely not. They don't seem to understand basic customer service. Love that we can walk to it in the evening from where we stay but.....

While the view here is gorgeous, the many, many flies detract from it. Nothing is guaranteed, but the installation of screen doors might just do them wonders. The restaurant doesn't seem clean, and the food is average at best. The wait staff comes across as very disinterested, and I would think twice before bringing children here again. The server we had seemed almost annoyed at having to serve an 8 year old - even in the late afternoon.

Although limited, there are better choices in Stanley.

If restaurants were ranked 1-10 by the quality of their setting, Bridge Street Grill would score a 12. Perched on the bank (literally) of the Salmon River in Stanley, Idaho, this little gem of the Gem State looks out over a jaw-dropping vista of Idaho's spectacular Sawtooth Range in the distance. In the warm months you can sit out on either the lower or upper deck so as to fully enjoy the sound of the water rushing by just a few yards away, and marvel at the million dollar view.

Many travelers to Sun Valley are unaware that just over an hour to the north is a mountain playland of epic proportions, worthy of National Park status. While staying at Redfish Lake or in the Stanley vicinity don't miss the opportunity to stop here for lunch or dinner. On a recent visit we marveled at the stunning view, while downing perfectly seasoned, fresh grilled Idaho trout, and melt-in-your-mouth ribs. These were accompanied by a crisp salad and homemade-tasting French fries. (A bit on the greasy side, but still delicious.) After traveling in the 95+degree heat I was ready to down several refills of ice cold Coke, which were brought promptly by our server. For such a remote location they have a fairly wide menu choices including steak, chicken, fish, chops and Mexican-inspired dishes.

The décor is best described as "Yukon rustic" as befits this somewhat remote outpost. Quirky touches in the bar, such as the large road sign reading "Snowmobiles must yield to aircraft at all times" reveal just how far you are from the city. You are truly "off the beaten track". But the food is every bit as good as you will find in much more sophisticated surroundings.

If traveling through this area, camping or staying locally, I highly recommend Bridge Street Grill.
