A truly incredible location and accomodations. The views are awesome, the food truly incredibly delicious, and the staff extremely dedicated to providing a wonderful experience. My husband and I stayed for four days in late July and enjoyed the fly fishing, which was excellent, on the ranch section of the middle fork of the Salmon River. The natural hot springs pool is great after a half day of horseback riding, which provided us with an expansive view of the valley and mountain range. The meals were just outstanding and they offer a great selection of wine and beer as well. The variety of meal service is very enjoyable from the fine dining a la carte to the themed evening meals as well. The cabins are perfect with no TV, yet wireless is available at the lodge as well as the cabins. There is NO cell service which is a huge bonus and allows one to relax and enjoy the environment and the company they are with. We will definitely return! Most highly recommended for couples and families; tons of outdoor activities and nice to just relax by the huge fireplace inside the lodge and enjoy the ambiance of this true gem.

Room Tip: Cabin 18 is the furthest from the lodge with one attached cabin so there are not additional cabins on either side. It offers nice views and is very quite.

Spectacular views, deluxe accommodations, beyond delicious food. Plus there is so much to do. For the active family there is mountain biking (bikes and helmets on site), hiking (expert trail recommendations and access to a guide), horseback riding (also on site), white water rafting nearby - plus much more. For the mellow vacationer it is relaxing to sit on the porch of the Lodge and read a book or gather around the fireplace in the evening and play cards or a board game.
Our family reconnected on our visit - we spent the day together, had a delicious meal and met new friends in the evening and played games until bedtime. No electronic distractions - unless you truly need them.
I would recommend IRMR to everyone.

Room Tip: All the cabins are comfortable and quiet.

My husband and I stayed at IRMR for 5 days in late July, our third visit in 10 years. The staff is as outgoing and helpful as ever, the cabins are comfortable and homey, and the food is stellar. My husband and I enjoy outdoor activities, and every day the staff would recommend specific hikes or mountain bike trails. In the past, they arranged rock climbing lessons and whitewater trips which were favorites with our teenage daughters. During this vacation, we came with friends who had a fantastic fly fishing expedition which was organized with IRMR assistance. The best part of every day was returning "home" to the ranch and soaking our sore muscles in the hot springs fed pool, then having drinks and appetizers on the porch and listening to the evening's live musical entertainment while watching the sun set behind the Sawtooth Mountains.

A group of six of us stayed at IRMR in late August. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating, and the food was excellent; very good value. We relaxed and unplugged very quickly. It was great fun to talk to other guests over meals, and we especially enjoyed the evening activities such as the wine chats on the front porch. Also, an evening soak under the stars in the hot spring-fed pool was magic. Unlike a prior reviewer, we could access wireless if we wanted...but who wants or needs TV and internet access when the Sawtooth Mountains and Salmon River are calling? Isn't that what you've come here to escape? At IRMR we could bridge our desire to be well lodged and fed, yet spend time in one of the most beautiful natural environments on the planet. Can't beat it. We'll be back.

We had an amazing stay at IRMR. The staff was wonderful, view from the porch stunning and the food amazing. We have been several places in the rockies and think that the view of the Sawtooths in Idaho is some of the most beautiful we have seen. The ranch has a friendly and inviting atmosphere, so does the many repeating guests. We really enjoyed the hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding offered at and around the ranch. Twice during the weeks the kids were offered to dine without their parents and fun activities while mom and dad ate. We feel the ranch offers something unique and were very happy with our stay.
