Stayed here for 2 nights in July. Looks nice building from photo but stay was disappointing. Shabby inside. In our room light fittings, walls, bath fittings had seen better days. Quality of bed linen was poor - although clean. Furniture is as shown on hotel website. However if you are going to have heavy chunky beds, etc management needs to provide cleaners with a way of cleaning underneath. Skirting around room was filthy and had not been cleaned for sometime. Spa tub water was not very clean either. Hotel is in a great position for getting around Sandpoint and it is a pity that it is let down by its shabbiness. A little a bit of effort and money from manège the would make a huge difference.

The hotel had a complete overhaul a couple years ago so it sounds like we need a little bit of attention to detail in our deep cleaning. We can do this! Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Great customer service. Old and stuffy despite a/c. Smelled musty. Carpet dinggy. Dirty bathroom/tub. Hot breakfast only because of the waffles and coffee; all they serve are carbs except for the yogurt. Stay someplace else.

Room tip: Stay away.

I appreciate you commenting on our staff, they are the most priceless thing we have. We also offer hard boiled eggs for protein but with our economy price point we do offer the common continental breakfast with hot waffles.

Booked this hotel on a special price online. Turned out better than we thought it would be. My 82 yr old mom and I went to Sandpoint for my uncle's memorial and this place was right in the middle of every where we wanted to go. We were able to visit our relatives who lived here easily and also got to sightsee. The room was comfortable with 2 queen beds. No closet, just a bar in the corner of the room but we made it work. Also the thinnest, scratchiest, smallest towels ever, but that is my biggest complaint. Bring your own if you can. The desk people were very helpful. I had a boot on my leg and couldn't go upstairs so they not only made sure we were on the ground floor near the door to the parking lot but also went upstairs to fill our ice bucket when we needed it. It's not the Ritz but for the price it was worth it. And Sandpoint is beautiful! We will be going back.

GH Lodge is our home for five days while my husband is here on business. The motel is clean and in good condition. Our room is very small however. The over sized rustic furniture makes it even worse. My husband, who never complains about anything, says the desk chair is so uncomfortable that he can't sit on it. Also, as with many motels, the lighting is terrible and there are power strips at each outlet to handle the room electronics. We had to purchase a power strip and 4 outlet adapter so we could plug in cell phones, computers etc. For an overnight stay it would be okay but there isn't even enough room for our luggage for the longer stay. We would consider this motel again for an over night but search for a bigger place for longer stays.

The Room stunk of cigarette smoke horribly. Purchased an air freshener and it even wouldn't cover the smell. Garbage was found under the bed from who ever stayed prior. The shower made you feel as if you were going to fall through it. Plus, they charged me twice for the same nasty room. The staff was very unproffessional. Didn't dare to even think about going into the hot tub. Needless to say, I won't be going there again!

Room tip: Don't choose this hotel!

Wow, when it rains, it sometimes pours. We do not usually get these comments. We will have a training and regroup.
