This hotel is right on the beach, and if you like a great deck for drinks and food, this place has it!!! While the hotel isn't that new, it is clean and rooms spacious. We got a ground floor room which we loved and all rooms have a great view!!

I found it very difficult to locate, as the freeway routing changed several months ago, however, the hotel management did not change the directions, therefore costing me almost 1 hour to find, & I found it quite by accident, as it was Hidden well below the new freeway. The front desk persons were very helpful. The room was very spacious, clean, & well appointed. I had a lake & park view, plus a balcony where I rested my weary bones in the sun. The restaurant was fabulous, & it was a real treat to sit outdoors on their balcony whilst watching a wedding party form, thus hustling us to abandone the site prematurely. However, the time we did spend there gave us a nice treat. I would recommend this property for families, groups, or individuals for one or more nights.

Room Tip: Pay a little more & get a lake & park view with a balcony.

if it wasn't for the location of this hotel directly on the beach and within walking distance of town this would just an average hotel. the rooms and decor are old but very clean and there is a view of the lake and beach from every room. the breezeway from the parking lot is stifling so park as close to your room as you can. the internet was off and on depending on time of day and the air conditioning units were old and loud with no thermostat. the frequent train passing close by were very restful but if trains bother you you might want to pick another hotel

The view from our room was awesome. The access to the lake and the nice city park was definitely perfect. Access to downtown was also great! We love to be able to walk everywhere. We had a jetted-tub in our room. We had to call the front desk to get instructions, I feel there should be instructions somewhere. The room itself was nice and well-appointed with upgraded lighting and granite counters, but plastic cups. For $200+ a night I expect glass. Musty smell seemed to be coming from the AC. It diminished, but never went completely away. The bed wasn't bad, but a pillowtop would of been more comfortable. Rain showerhead was super nice. :)

A great lake front hotel with a private beach, the rooms are nicely decorated with fridge and micro wave. If just a couple go for the third floor king room, the views are really nice from the private balcony. .

For one night or several, The Edgewater has everything you need. All rooms face beautiful Lake Pend Oreille. Walkt o downtown Sandpoint and explore the shops. Check out Mick Duff's for a snack and one of their cold beers. The Trinity (at The Edgewater) offers excellent food with a view. Or, try Spud's on the Waterfront for a relaxed dining experience.
