Description: If Spud's is one thing, it's fresh. Fresh in the sense that we make everything from scratch, from every dressing, sauce and chutney, to elaborate soups and outstanding desserts. Spud's is also fresh in the sense in that our classic menu is continually reinspired by worldly flavors, regional style and seasonal ingredients. We adore the sophisticated touch of the West's best restaurants, and honor the casual comforts of small town North Idaho. Located in picturesque downtown Sandpoint, Idaho, Spud's Waterfront's reputation extends beyond the shores of Lake Pend Oreille as an excellent restaurant for locals and travelers alike. Dock your boat on the boardwalk, bike up from the beach, pull in on your way to the mountain, walk in before catching a show at the Panida.

This is a very informal place. Order at the window inside the door. Pay at the cash register and sit down. They bring food to you. No table service for drink refills etc, food was good. Fresh. Nice deck for outside dining option.

You can't go wrong here for a quick respite from your shopping or to refuel after a day at the lake!I recently visited SPUDS with my family for lunch on a hot summer day as it had been recommended to us by one of the store keepers during our shopping expedition; we weren't disappointed!
SPUDS is trendy, fun and casual and the food is great! You order at the window as you come in the door, then proceed down the bar to collect your beverages and pay for your meal. They give you a # to set on your table and the waitress brings your meal out to you. This is a unique approach, but it works well, and the service was attentive, friendly and efficient. The patio overlooking the lakefront and marina was packed so we opted to sit in the coolness indoors. It's a small space, but comfortable.
The menu was interesting and varied, but we all ordered the special peach and bacon salad of the day which was delicious, and the apricot tart we shared for dessert was bursting with flavour.

The indoor seating was very nice, but we decided to eat on the outdoor patio. It was the perfect choice. The sandwich was the Avocado BLT - VERY GOOD. The service was great as was the location. Note to owners: Your curb appeal could use a little work. It doesn't come anywhere near the experience inside.

We were unhappy with the way this place is set up for a late lunch. You order your soup and
sandwich, or whatnot, at the first counter, then go to the cashier at the bar, bringing your soup
with you, pay (should I tip already ?), then go out to the deck and wait to be seated. After
waiting too long, we sat ourselves (soup was already getting cold). There were six of us and we
needed two tables together, but no one offered to do it, so we took two tables until a group of
three left the only table for six, and we moved there. Finally the sandwiches were served.
Outside of poor service (I will never tip again prior to finishing a meal !), the home made soups
were terrific. All the sandwiches come only on one type of bread. Deck view overlooking the
marina is very nice. I'd visit again but only if service improved.

Everything on the menu looked great. We had one of their signature turkey sandwiches and the risotto dinner special. It had corn, currants , squash and other veges topped with arugula ! One of the best dinners I have ever tasted! The menu for dinner has light fare, salads, soup or sandwiches; as well as typical dinner fare making it fit for anyone in your crowd. Of course there is beer on tap. And the dessert specials .
Wonderful outdoor atmosphere to enjoy the sunshine and great service.
Don't miss this cozy spot in Sandpoint, it is excellent and won't break the budget.
