We stayed in this hotel during two trips from the Pacific NW to Arizona via Pocatello. We chose it because it was easy to get to off the freeway and the price was right (under $60 for two adults in a queen nonsmoking room). The first time through, in April 2010, we had no complaints and had dinner at the next-door Elmer's restaurant. Breakfast at the Rodeway is free and consists of waffles you make in their waffle iron, cold cereal, milk, OJ, and bagels. Our second time through, in August 2010, our toilet started flooding immediately, and we had to walk over soggy carpet to move our belongings out and to the next room. We noted damage to the carpeted baseboards, but otherwise the rooms were decent. My recommendation is qualified: It was a typical motel-style, $55 room. Don't expect too much. But we felt safe, and the front desk staff were very welcoming and nice.

Free high Speed internet access....if you are lucky enough to pick up the signal from the pancake house next door. The internet provided by the motel drops out about every 30 seconds, just after it connects. the staff was friendly, and tried to accommodate me by moving me to another room to try to get a better signal, but more of the same.

The Staff were really nice. But the room was kinda musty, they may have just shampooed the carpets. The room could of used some more vacuuming and when I made the mistake of moving the bed a little, there was garbage behind the headboard (Not to mention the dirty tissue left on the nightstand) Coulnd't tuen on the fan in the bathroom as it made the worst loudest noise ever. We were only staying overnight on our way to Yellowstone, so the price was good and so was the free breakfast, but on my next trip I might spend the extra 10-15 bucks to spend the night in one of the many newer motels they have in town

My family and I just returned from a 2 week long road trip vacation to California from Alberta. After our first 14 hour long day of driving we stayed at the Rode Way Inn in Pocatello. Check in was quick and easy and the lady at the front desk was very friendly. It was sufficient for a short night of sleep. The Inn is old and could use some sprucing up, but it is clean and there were No bed bugs! It was also really inexpensive and had a continental breakfast which was adequate to get us on our way. I wouldn’t give it a stellar rating, but if you just need a place to spend the night it will do.

My wife and I spent one night at the Rodeway Inn. I wouldn't want to take up residence there, but it was cheap, clean enough, and immediately next door to a good breakfast restaurant. (We didn't eat the "continental" breakfast at the Rodeway Inn, but it looked pathetic.) It's also within easy walking distance of Portneuf Valley Brewpub.

We stayed here for the night on our way to Yellowstone from SLC. It worked out perfect since we arrived late evening at SLC and the hotel's location helps cut out 2 hours on the next day's journey.

The room is pretty basic, a bit dated I feel, but adequate. The towels and bathroom were clean. Nothing to rave about but nothing to complain either (remember, its a budget motel).

Now comes the good part - the free breakfast.
The breakfast room was adequately stacked with bagels, cereals, milk and juices. They even had a waffle machine so you could make fresh hot waffles. All budget motels who don't skim on breakfast get an extra star from me :), hence the 4 stars instead of 3 (I know they adv it so it should not be considered a bonus, but we all know how lot of them just have coffee and sorry looking muffins/donuts as breakfast).

The location was good too it's right across a University campus.

Overall, a good place for a night's layover.
