“Great steak”

Standard chain but staff very friendly. My steak was excellent along with the sides. I love the dinner roles. Location was busy on a Tuesday evening which is always surprising.

“Average experience. Nothing special, but still good”
Reviewed September 29, 2013 via mobile

I came in and sat at the bar. One disappointing thing about the roadhouse is they don't have a prime cut of meat in the house.... Which is something you'd kind of expect from a steakhouse. Nonetheless, still delicious.

Our service was absolutely fantastic! our server Jamie took excellent care of us making us feel right at home. Honestly we will go back just for the service.

There could have been better beer on tap, but there isn't much to be expected from a chain restaurant in that department anyway. Overall I'd say this place will appeal to the masses but if you are looking to have a date or some truly exquisite food I wouldn't recommend it. It's pretty average diner style stuff. Nothing special but still good for the casual dinner.

I do love that they have a late night happy hour. I'll be back for that and the service.

“Disappointing”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

OK, it is a chain but even a chain doing “Texas” should be able to serve pretty good ribs. The menu promised “fall off the bone” ribs and that they indeed do. Unfortunately, the flavor had also fallen off someplace (other than on the plate. If you decide to give them another try, enjoy the dinner rolls with sweet butter. Those are good.

“Excellent prime rib”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

We were on a family vacation to Yellowstone and stayed in Pocatello for the night. We had never heard of Texas Roadhouse but due to the good reviews on Tripadvisor we decided to give it a try. The concept of eating peanuts and able to just throw the shells on the ground is fun and the peanuts were tasty. The service was very prompt and friendly and they told us about Texas Roadhouse since we said we had never been to one before. It was a busy night so it was a louder bar atmosphere not a fine dining experience, but the steak was excellent. I really enjoy prime rib and the one I received was huge and rates as one of the best I have ever had. The only disappointing part was we were staying in a hotel so I could not save the left overs. Our waiter was great and let us order items at our own pace since we had traveled all day long in the car and we were not in a hurry.

“Texas Road House in Idaho?”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Yep! To a home grown Texan this is always good news! We always check to see if there is a TRH in whatever town we end up in. Consistent good food and good service. Steaks are always cooked just right. "House" wines are also very good at a reasonal price.
