Best Western Lodge At River's Edge

This is one of the nicer Best Westerns we have stayed at. The hotel is clean, decorated very nicely and fits nicely into the Orofino landscape. The outside is very nicely landscaped, especially the back patio, with a nice waterfall and pond, some beautiful sculptures, beautiful flowers and right on the river. The inside boast very nice artwork, along with sculptures and mounted animals. The staff was nice enough, not overly friendly or necessarily helpful, but nice all the same. We stayed on a weekend, so no evening reception, but there were cookies, water, iced tea, coffee and lemonade available at all times. Our king room was very spacious, clean and the bed was super comfy. We had a river view room with a door to the little patio with table and chairs. The breakfast was perfect, lots of room to eat and lots of choices to choose from, including fresh seasonal fruit, two types of sausage, yogurt, eggs, waffles and the other standard fair. The night before the patio had fires going and lots of mingling and we enjoyed breakfast on the patio also. The pool and hot tub were nice, both saltwater. Can't say enough good things about the nice little hotel. We will be back!

Room Tip: It is worth the few extra bucks to have the river view!

At this first-rate place we had a large room with a balcony overlooking Clearwater River.

Our room was clean and quiet; it had all the amenities and an extremely comfortable bed. The staff was cheerful and helpful, and there is a good restaurant right next door.

If this place fits into your travel plans, you we enjoy your stay there.

Room Tip: We enjoyed our balcony overlooking the river and our dinner at the restaurant next door.

This is the most beautiful and enjoyable Best Western I've ever seen. The restaurant next door is excellent. The entire stay is always a treat! The afternoon cookies & all day coffee are nice too.

I was in town for business and this hotel was the one my co-workers suggested. When I arrived I was very suprised. Large room, clean, king size bed, fast wifi, coffee maker, in room micro and fridge, breakfast, friendly staff, short walk into town. They offer a social hour with free beer and wine in the lobby and also have beer and wine for sale. There is a paved path along the river for a nice walk to the park. I visited the farmers market while there and the town's people are all very friendly. After dark, I took my work out to the lobby patio, the desk clerk came out and lit the fire pits and asked if she could get me anything. After a very restfull sleep, the bed was so cozy I didn't want to get up, I enjoyed a good complimentary breakfast.

Room Tip: Request a room with a view of the river.

Stayed one night after a drive on route 12 the Lewis and Clarke trail from Missoula - great drive with a great hotel at the end of the day. Large room, clean, king size bed, patio overlooking river, fast wifi, coffee maker, good complimentary breakfast, friendly staff, short walk into town where there were couple of restaurants (we ate at diner, good food, reasonable prices). Very nice.

My husband and I reserved this hotel merely as a stopping-off place on our way from Oregon to Yellowstone Park-- that is, until we arrived and saw the incredible riverside location and fabulous room! We'd reserved a standard room, but once there, asked to be upgraded to a room on the second floor, overlooking the river. The friendly front desk folks readily agreed, for only an additional $10 charge. Best $10 we spent on our trip! The river ivied, from room or hotel patio, is indescribably soothing and wraps you in beauty. Very clean room, comfy bed, nice breakfast, efficient staff. Very reasonable prices, even during the high season. The sights and sounds of the forest and river decompressed us. We extended our stay a second night! Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Definitely request a river view room!

We arrived tired, hot, dusty, and parched after a long day of motorcycling. Temps reached 41 Celsius (106 for our American hosts) during our fun in the twisties.
Check-in took a minute, and we were handed cold bottles of water. After a quick shower we were soon cooling off by the pool. There's cold beer and wine for sale right in the lobby, and a couple of good restaurants a few minutes walk away. Our riverview room faced south, but thanks to the staff the drapes were closed and air conditioner running so it was cool in there on our arrival. Later we enjoyed our private balcony, the fresh evening air, and the peaceful sounds of the birds and the river. The hotel seems pretty new, it's very clean, and the staff were most helpful. The walls are thick, the room was quiet, and the bed very comfortable. Brekkie was great, with fresh biscuits, watermelon, good coffee, along with the usual standbys.
We could have stayed there longer, and hope to come back soon!
