Good, but service is very slow unless you know what you're doing. You must go in, immediately order sushi when the waiter seats you and order your meal when the soup arrives. If you do this, your lunch will be fairly quick and easy. If you don't, you may be waiting a half hour or longer for your food with little attention from the staff. The lunch Bento trays and the california rolls are the best value for the money, and take the least amount of time to get if you are in a hurry. Also, this is an Asian fusion restaurant run by a Korean owner, so expect the sushi options to be slightly different! (But good!)

Red Bentos is unique here on the Palouse, though I was impressed. Ate lunch with a friend, and I tried the Bento box lunch special and my friend had a traditional lunch entree. Nice assortment of food and great quality, all for a good price. Service was quick despite the restaurant being about 2/3 full. I'll definitely be back.

They have excellent food! Never had any bad food, and it's a good thing because I have been there about four times and have not had a good server a single time I have gone in. It also seems to be pretty crazy every time I have gone in, it seems like they have not got a good system down yet, but I guess that is to be expected for a new restaurant. I have been there and people were yelling across the small restaurant at one another to tell them they had forgotten something. The owners seem really nice, and they are expanding soon which will help with everything. But I will continue to go back despite the mediocre service because they have some of the best food in town.

I've been a half-dozen times, and every time I've gotten something off the kitchen menu as well as something off the sushi menu, and every time I have been extremely pleased. The Teriyaki is delicious, the fried dishes are delicious, there are several Korean options I'd never had before that were delicious, and the sushi is tremendous. The ONLY complaint I have is that it's such a tiny place that it's always packed, and there is only one sushi chef, so the wait for sushi has always been a bit long, but always worth it. All things considered, Red Bento is amazing. If they can just get the other half of the building that is empty and expand, it will be perfect.
