“Great Place to Eat!”
Reviewed July 7, 2014

Took a large party there just before the 4th of July. Busy up in McCall, but they accommodated our large party with ease (8 people). Our out-of-towners loved their fried pickles so much that they ordered another order to go round. We ordered a Sharlie as an appetizer as it just looked so weird we had to give it a try. Fattening goodness!

Our guests we from the East coast so they tried to drink their weight in Pacific Northwest beer and loved every offered drop. I opted for a nice chilled prosecco on that hot, hot day. All our meals were tasty except mine :( The noodle salad's noodles had a super weird consistency, like they had been fried then reheated. Like bad cheap ramen noodles. Sauce was good and a noodle change would certainly help the dish. But everything else was well done and we were full and happy. Not a lot of good dining options up the Hill, so there is certainly room for this brew pub.

“Small friendly tasty brewery”
Reviewed July 2, 2014 via mobile

The joint is not overly large but offers excellent, casual outdoor seating out back.

The food is all fresh and honemade, I loved the ribs and kids love the pretzels.

Sprinkle in some of there own brew and we ended up with an excellent evening with friends

“Great ambiance and tasty brews”
Reviewed June 25, 2014

We're never disappointed when we stop by this pub during our winter/summer vacations in McCall. The quality and selection of brews has improved so much since Anheuser Busch infused this local brewery with lots of cash! For this visit we sat out on the deck and gawked at the lovely view of Lake Payette. The locals were inside watching TV and loudly rooting for the U.S. hockey team at the World Cup. It was a great way to celebrate after a hot and fun mountain bike ride in nearby Ponderosa State Park.

“New location , new menu, same great beer.”
Reviewed June 22, 2014

Really wavering between 3.5-4 star. We were "regulars" to the old locale, which personally I preferred, but hubby likes the new "waterfront" location better. I liked the old menu better with the sausages, pretzels, burgers. New menu dropped the the sausages and has items not on previous menu. I like the outdoor seating better at old location, new location seems to have crowded outdoor seating with view. Today we visited during happy hour and enjoyed the chicken tostadas which were good but you are not able to cut with knife and fork so you just have to lift them up and chow them down. Son had homemade Mac n cheese. He said it was delicious (he will not eat boxed stuff). Wait staff was nice and attentive, not overbearing or rushing you out. Although we have been here before during holiday time and the service can seem Inattentive during high season times. That is just to be expected. Beer and wine selection good. Natural soda pop selection good. We will continue to patronize.

“Just walk on by!”
Reviewed May 30, 2014

Really a disappointment, really lousy service that was delivered with an attitude, and unacceptable food. Clearly the kitchen lacks culinary experience. We had nachos, which had been under the broiler way to long, paid $4.00 extra for 6 small pieces of chicken, are you kidding me! The nachos were the worst we have ever encountered. We also ordered smoked salmon tacos. They were small, but had plenty of smoked salmon in them, but we're put together backwards. The sauce was on the bottom, then cabbage, then the salmon, way too dry. These were served with fries? What a combination! A return visit will not happen.
