Owner description: Located high in the mountains of Central Idaho, Brundage Mountain is best known for its powder-packed glades and luxuriously wide groomed runs. Blessed with over 320 inches of snowfall annually, Brundage has an undisputed reputation for the Best Snow in Idaho™. 1,500 acres of terrain and 1,800 feet of vertical make Brundage Mountain a mid-sized resort that 'skis big'.

“Rocky Mountain Powder for your family...”
Reviewed January 30, 2012

The Good: A cozy little family run ski restort with great powder, decent lift ticket prices, and rarely any lift lines to speak of. Some excellent tree skiing until it is skiied out. Spectacular views. Mostly very friendly employees, from ski patrol to the bar...

The Bad (and the Ugly): A few lift operators and instructors who would not be tolerated at a professionally run destination. Limited total acreage, very limited vertical, and very few runs. Good skiers can easily ski every run on the mountain, from Hidden Valley to Lakeview, and from groomers to tight trees to open powder glades - in a single weekend. Only one real black diamond run, and it is very short, with a long run out back to the chair, so it is best for skiiers who are not looking for a real challenge. On DEEP powder days it can be too flat to even be skiable off trail - getting stuck on a flat slope in mid-thigh powder is not as much fun as it sounds.

“Best Skiing in the West”
Reviewed December 13, 2011

If you are done with the lines at the major ski resorts you should check out Brundage Mountain in McCall, Idaho!! Excellent snow, small lines and a wonderful resort town that isn't impressed with itself.
Regular people and no ski divas present, just good family fun.

“Love it”
Reviewed April 18, 2011

Brundage received 7" of light, dry powder the night before (Monday night) our first day of skiing here. When we got to the parking lot at 8:45 am there were less than 100 cars there! Needless to say, we had fresh turns for the day. When we were on the groomers they were topped with just 2-3 inches of fresh powder...was turning on untouched corduroy with a powder topper late into the day...was getting off-piste, knee high, fresh turns all day!

Some of the base lifties had a little attitude (who knew you could get that vibe in the 15 seconds of interaction?) but, other than that, the resort is a great little mountain that doesn't get many crowds. Everyone else was very friendly and nice!!

I would take note that the Centennial Lift is apparently closed during the week...without this lift you have to take a much shorter lift then ski down to the Bluebird Express. Kind of a PITA but, when you realize there are NO CROWDS during the week (even on a powder day) here it kind of makes sense that they don't have this open.

It doesn't have the vertical or high speed lifts that other areas have but it's a great time and they get more snow than most Idaho mountains!!
