“Only Authentic Mexican Restaurant in Lewiston”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

Tacos Ceci is the only real Mexican Restaurant in Lewiston. Their food is so much better than El Sombrero. We moved to Lewiston from New Mexico and were very disappointed that there were no authentic Mexican restaurants. Then, we found Ceci's taco truck and loved it! Now they have done enough business to get into their own place. Ceci and her husband are the cooks and are very nice. They talk to us all night when we go - it is almost like being on a double date (but this is probably because we speak Spanish fluently, and not many do in Lewiston). No need to speak Spanish, though, as their English is great. Before they only took cash, but I heard from someone that they take credit cards now, so hopefully that is true. It is a strange mix of people there, almost like the Any Time Tavern (that is the building they are in now) group still goes there, but I don't think they even sell alcohol, at least not the last time we went. Anyway, anyone who loves REAL Mexican food needs to visit there. I could eat their "tacos al pastor" everyday!

“Clean, Friendly”

It looks like these were the guys that had the lunch wagon parked in the lot beside the Yamaha dealership for the last few years. Now they have moved into the restaurant where Any Time Cafe used to be so now it's Mexican food. Today I had a wet burrito which was huge and really great but a little pricey at $7 but I am still going back for another one. The tacos are good all right but a little small for $1.75 each. The hours are no longer 25 hours a day but the crowd is much the same: Bikers that are a little old to be criminals anymore; Rednecks that seem to enjoy the food and to talk about musicians that died in the last century; Young adults hoping, in vane, to find a lively saloon; and a new element that looks like the scant few that speak Spanish around here and who are bringing their whole families in for their Friday evening meal out. The couple running the place didn't seem to want to discuss their plans but I don't think they are going to paint murals of Mexico around nor are they going to serve beer. Give this place a chance there is no other exotica around.
