Our weekend stay was wonderful with just one exception: Other people's misbehaving, extremely rambunctious and noisy children running up and down the hallways! Hotel staff did their best to send the children back to their rooms, when there was a complaint, but the parents apparently felt they could just send their children “outside”, which meant to roam and run around the halls, of the hotel, at all hours of the day and night. I certainly don’t blame the hotel staff or management for this. It was clear they were overwhelmed by the sheer number of children roaming around, unsupervised. Upon checkout, I was given a discount to my room rate (even though I said it was unnecessary, because it was not the hotel’s fault we didn’t have a peaceful stay) which tells me they want my return business and they want me to leave with a positive thought, in mind. My recommendation would be to ask if any youth hockey, football, or other sports teams are utilizing the hotel during your stay and ask to be placed as far away from them as possible. If you happen to arrive and encounter the screaming, running, playing children in the hallways, by all means, complain to the staff of the hotel, they WILL take care of it, even if it’s only temporary.

The hotel was very nice compared to other lodgings in the area. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The King sized murphy bed was a little odd, as there was plenty of room for a standard King bed in the room, but I think this room appeals more to business travelers who might like to hide their bed, during the day, while conducting business. The room had a sitting area with 2 sofas (one was a sofa bed), fireplace, cable TV, and a table with 6 chairs. There was ample room for our family of 5 to move around, eat, and sleep. The small microwave and refrigerator were a nice addition, as well. The view of Potlatch wasn’t what I’d consider a “valley view” but at least we were not looking at a parking lot. We also had a small private balcony, but it was too cold, outside, to utilize.

The breakfast was your standard HIE fare with cereal, cinnamon rolls, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, assorted breads, a selection of bacon or sausage and scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy too. In my opinion, the gravy was barely edible, but it wasn’t any worse than any other hotel chain gravy. The biscuits were a little dry, but still edible. The woman stocking the breakfast bar was working as fast as she could and was friendly when approached with a question/problem. Unfortunately, those same barely supervised children seemed to take great pleasure in spilling cereal, juice, and milk all over the place. Every time I saw her she was cleaning up another spill, so that seemed to prevent her from keeping things stocked as quickly as she normally would. Since most HIE breakfast bars are consistent and stock essentially the same things, at least a traveler knows what to expect.

The hotel also had an indoor pool, exercise room and business center that we did not use, but they looked adequate and clean. There was a small gift shop next to the front desk with everything from bathing suits to frozen treats. The evening cookies provided by the hotel were nice, but after a few groups of children went by and touched everything on the table, they seemed a little less appealing.

I will definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to friends.

With a child attending Washington State University, I have stayed here several times over the past year when the Pullman Holiday Inn Express is full.
I have had a pleasant experience every time we have stayed at the Lewiston Holiday Inn Express. The staff has always been pleasant on our visits.
The rooms are average and what you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express. The rooms also have a refrigerator and microwave. The beds are comfortable, but nothing to get to excited about.
The hotel offers a free breakfast every morning and a local paper. The hotel is located at the top of hill in Lewiston and is close to shopping (Safeway, Wal-Mart, etc) and is also walking distance to the movie theater.
Pretty much exactly what you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express.

Overall, it is a very nice hotel. The rooms were clean, quiet, spacious, comfortable, and well equipped.
The pool area was very nice as well with a great atrium view and view of the valley.
Breakfast had a nice selection and option of dining on the patio with a great view.
The only thing that upset us was that the clerk would not honor the Priority Club policy of giving us an upgrade to a view room. It seems the company's word doesn't mean much anymore.

Good location and view of river valley. exterior and common areas were usual holiday inn express level. The room was below normal quality of furnishings and bed was much below normal quality. Would rate this hotel average for location and great for view, but well below average for room comfort and quality.

My wife and stay at Holday Inn Expresses or Hampton Inns while on motorcycle tours. We stayed in Lewiston last week, and we both thought it was the best one we've stayed in. Service, amenities, comfort, and price - we were totally satisfied.
