“Hot Springs are a Winter Wonderland”

Our family does not use the olympic swimming complex, but relishes our annual visit to the famous hot pools in lava. Dashing through the sometimes sub-zero night then plunging into the steaming pools, looking up at snowflakes and stars while listening to the trains roll by -- what could be better?

“Lava's main draw, a jewel!”

Well-run facility. Outstanding water quality, not sulfurous like most mineral springs in the West.

“The hot pools are great. You don't have to go to the water park if not wanted”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2011

We went only to the hot pools spot which is not connected to the big water park and Olympic pool complex. It was a quiet weekly morning of october, not too many people were using the pools so it was great to relax in the steaming hot water. The lady at the desk was very nice and helpful; knowing it was our first time here, she explain to us how the hot pools works and how to make good use of the site. The price to use the pools is cheap and you can rent a locker with a key for only 50 cents. If returning to the area, we'll make a stop to the Lava Hot Springs pools for sure!

“Simply lovely!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2011

This was my first trip to Lava Hot Springs and I wish I could live there.... The town is adorable and historic, the locals are friendly and warm, everything you need is within walking distance on charming main street. We stayed at Home Hotel which was fantastic!! The service was excellent, the rooms were tastefully decorated, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the private hot springs baths were a plus! We will most definitely stay there again!
