Rafting the river is great fun and the river flow was a bit higher this year, which helped prevent some injuries on the rocks. I suggest three or four man rafts as the single's are very prone to tipping over or dragging smaller riders against the rocks.
We went to the City pool, very large with nice grass areas, some shade for those who arrive early. New water slides that cross the entrance road are fun, but somewhat slow to move through the line. Also some muddy areas due to sprinkler problems I suspect.
Hot springs - recent refurbishment was nice, the old showers and changing room are gone but I didn't inspect the new one. Pretty hot activity for august but very popular at night.
We regretted going on a Saturday as the croud was large and a bit roudy. Some people like that kind of thing. Weekdays are much less so.
