Michel's is our favorite for an impromtu dinner, especially if we aren't in the mood for a big meal. Although he offers wonderful entree choices, our favorite is his caesar salad, which is consistently fresh, crisp, lemony, and never over-dressed (include the anchovies!). Pair it with steamed clams (always perfectly fresh) and a white wine, and you have a wonderful light dinner. We have friends who cannot get enough of his pomme frittes (shoestring French fries).
We prefer to dine in the bar, which is full of memorabilia from Michel's career as an accomplished coach for the US women's ski team. Michel is ALWAYS present and he graciously strives to visit with each table, ensuring his guests' satisfaction. The bar seating is limited, so our rule of thumb is to arrive by 6:15, especially if the group is larger than two. Often a (live) pianist is playing soft tunes in the background.
