Good Italian food, great for families! It's loud, but the service was very good and they really were attentive, so we did not mind the noise.

“Authentic Mediocre Italian”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

Rico's received very mixed reviews from the 10 members of our party - some were very happy with their pizza and pasta, others (such as myself) would put this on the "don't bother to return list."

I got off to a bad start with a bowl of Minestrone that had no noticeable vegetables in it, and most resembled a marinara sauce mixed with chicken stock. After I didn't eat it, the waitress did not ask why, and when I volunteered that it was flavorless and did not resemble any minestrone I'd ever seen, did not take it off the check.

The pizza was decent; nowhere near as good as Pazzo's (my standard for ski area pizza), but nothing to complain about. We did receive pineapple instead of pepperoni on one pizza, and it took about 30 minutes to remake.

Some pasta dishes were described as "delicious", while others as "too garlicky to eat" (garlic was not mentioned on the menu description).

All in all I would skip Rico's for anything other than pizza or pasta with red sauce - check out Enoteca down the road for some tastier (albeit more expensive) Italian cooking.

Hostess was lovely, we were seated immediately. Server was awful, food was just okay. Wouldn't go back again, bummed we spent one of our two dinners in SV here.

“Like eating at home with family.”
Reviewed October 13, 2013 via mobile

We stayed in Ketchum 4 days and ate here twice. The first night we had pasta and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was exceptional, the presentation was perfect and the preparation was wonderful. So guess what, we came back again for pizza. My wife had a pizza with a flatbread crust and I had the original thin crust style pizza. Both were very tasty. We had salads both nights that were quite good, so you can see that this restaurant can look after your family well and at a reasonable price. Definitely worth a try.
